Great shots guys....coming along nicely !!!! I'm trying to remember the purpose of RAF Cranwell. Found it : www.raf.mod.uk/rafcranwell/It looks like it serves as base for the aerobatic team from Paddy's shot. Graeme.

Hi Graeme It looks like it serves as base for the aerobatic team from Paddy's shot. That aircraft certainly looks like one of the Red Arrows Folland Gnats but I don't think they were ever based there. For several years as a youngster, I lived about 5 miles from the base and clearly remember the Provost trainers flying over our house. When they were originally formed in the 1960's, the Red Arrows were based at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, but quickly moved to a base at Kemble nearby. Upon conversion to Hawks, they moved to RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire and, I believe, are still based there along with the Battle of Britain Flight. Best wishes Grant

Hello Graham! Thanks for the photographs, but most of them are well in excess of 100KB. Could you reduce the file sizes, please? Many thanks, Richard

Could you reduce the file sizes, please?[ Hi Richard, I did not log in yesterday and now I can't edit my posts. I do not usually post photo's as there is normally an 'expert' present. However at Cranwell there was just Paddy and me for photo's ( + maybe Darren ) I reduced mine to the correct dimensions but I had not realised they were still too large a file. I have since read the thread in the technical section and only have 'Paint' of the packages mentioned. I just tried it and it works once reducing a file to 115 mb; but when you try again it will not reduce it further. It appears the only way I have is to first crop then use 'paint' however that would not work on the panoramic view I posted for the lighting as it needed the whole picture I have pictures to post of the 'sound check' at Beaumanor that I know I was the only member present. I am going to struggle to get them down to the correct size with my computer packages Graham

Could you reduce the file sizes, please?[ Hi Richard, I did not log in yesterday and now I can't edit my posts. Hi Graham, I think it's set that members cannot edit their posts after 24 hrs. I went in and edited three of the largest photos. They way I do is I just right-click and save the photo then open it in Paint, save it again and uploaded to my Photobucket page. They are lovely photos...I shall be keeping them on my computer Joe

Thanks for that, Joe! Graham, your photographs are all fine now. If you edit a photograph in Photobucket without changing the url, the file size should change automatically on the forum. Best Wishes, Richard
