Thanks Dave, I actually posted that because of the 2 red highlighted texts. I missed that "gos" as we were busy getting Marianne ready to go to Germany. I t surprised me to see it but I left it there anyhow tongue in cheek. Graeme

Well said Dave. It is bad enough the media intruding into Hayley's private life. We certainly should not be encouraging that here. We are supposed to be her friends and supporters after all. Let's give her some space!

i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif In the Christchurch Press on Friday there was a small piece about the cancelled concert that was meant to be on Friday night. Now the only special guest I think she can bring with her would be Jonathan , here's hoping it is. On e good thing to come out the the cancellation of this concert was that I came down with a 24 hour bug and I would have missed the concert . At least I am well again and hope to meet Comet today at Diamond Harbour.

Thanks for posting that scan, Ross! It's comforting that the 'powers that be' were paying attention to how much work Hayley was doing and recognised that another tour back to back would have been too much. Had she done her New Zealand tour it would have been almost 3 tours with no break!
I'd imagine, though, that a Japan tour would have been a lot more work and draining than similar dates in the UK or New Zealand etc. Having a short time to figure out how to stage the new songs, learn Japanese lyrics and generally deal with the 'culture shock' of being immersed in a different language etc would have been tiring.
I hope that the special guest is Jonathan too!
By the way, I think that I'm a bit behind here -- what's this about Decca collapsing? Does that just mean that Hayley will go back to Universal?

Hi Ross and everyone An interesting little article and, I believe, the third different reason given for the postponement of Hayley's NZ tour. Actually, I think it's also the most logical reason., bearing in mind the extra workload placed on Hayley's shoulders with the re-scheduling of the cancelled RoD concerts which also perhaps explains Hayley's comments in her recent Facebook entry. I think the special guest could well be Jonathan. Hayley did mention to us after the Cardiff concert that she was trying to get him to go to New Zealand with her. If she has succeeded, you're in for a real treat! Best wishes Grant

I liked how they used the word 'new' boyfriend...
It's good to know why the tour was cancelled though! I'm glad it has, because Hayley really shouldn't run herself down.

That would've been way too much, right after she just got through her illness, and have had to do 3 tours. It's better for her to be able to have more time off, especially since she's going to be starting on a new album.

BTW, if the concerts have been postponed, why are there still dates up for May? Shouldn't you put "postponed" next to it, so new members don't get misled?

Where do you mean, Libby? We have announced the postponement in this thread, all individual threads are locked and the postponement in clearly indicated on the Schedule board on the forum and on the site so I think we have it covered! Roger

Dori Well, perhaps Hayley has learned the lesson after last year's problems. She really was working hard at that time, she was everywhere and perhaps she now knows that you can't keep up that sort of pace forever. Perhaps we will have to get used to her doing less live shows. That would be a pity, but I would rather she did that than burn herself out. Martin

Hi Martin Perhaps we will have to get used to her doing less live shows. That would be a pity, but I would rather she did that than burn herself out. It doesn't necessarily have to mean less live shows if she can space them out and take a few breaks in between to recharge her batteries. That seems to be what she is doing at the moment. Best wishes Grant

Roger Well, for one thing the sub-board is entitled "New Zealand Tour - May 2009". Well, since the tour is no longer in May, does it really still need to say May? And just because the threads are locked doesn't mean new members won't get confused. I still think you should put "Postponed" in the titles of each concert date shown in May. You know, like you did for the River of Dreams concerts when they were rescheduled? So, what's so hard about that? I at least think the word "May" should be removed from the New Zealand tour title. But it's your site, do whatever you want.

Hi Libby, I don't think it matters if Mays there , over here in a local publication it was still advertising the concert as happening the following week I wish. As Roger has said they have done all that is needed . And people should read closer if they are getting confused. I can't wait till it says August/September though Belinda
