Hi everyone I managed to collect my HSJS2 discs from Parcelforce this lunchtime.... On top of the $90 (I guess about £65) for the two CDs and shipping, there was a further £20.22 charge from customs; this was made up of £6.72 VAT and an astonishing £13.50 "handling charge" by Parcelforce. Had I waited for the paper work to take its full course then I don't think I would have got them much before the middle of next week, hence my collecting them in person from the local depot. All in all, HSJS2 came in for me and my friends at over £40 each Perhaps I won't use EMS again... Now the good news... The disks came with a poster of the front cover which was unexpected - the package was about two foot long for two CDs! Perhaps that's what caught customs' attention! I like the CD - it's Hayley, so I was bound to - but I'll wait for other people to get their copies before discussing it in any detail. Kind regards Colin

They only deliver overseas by FedEx, which was a big problem for me, last year when I ordered HSJS1, the delivery was more expensive and they wanted to charge me more 60 Euros (to FedEx) + 27,55 Euros (custom fees) for clearing the object: Hi everybody, Finally my copy of the Deluxe Edition has arrived, and I am very happy with it. I've played it several times now. Now I have to decide which are my favorites tracks to vote, but that's so difficult, they are all so great. Now the worst part, I didn't get it from CdJapan, because I couldn't finish my order (communication problems?) after Several attempts, I decided to get it from Amazon.co.jp, the shipment was more expensive, later they have informed that the delivery will be made by FedEx, and they give me a tracking number. That was so bad that I've decided to write the following email to Amazon.co.jp. «Dear Madam or Sir, I am writing this e-mail to you, just to inform you how I feel so dissatisfied about the delivery of my order by FedEx. The package arrived last Friday the 12 June 2008, and remained in customs until Friday 20 June 2008. After I contacted FedEx by Phone and by email on the 17 June 2008, they informed that the package was retained in customs and they asked me what I wanted to do, if I wanted to take care myself of the subject with the customs (pay custom fees) or if I want FedEx to take care of that matter, and they have to charge me 60 Euros + 27,55 Euros (the amount that I had to pay for custom fees) a total of 87,55 Euros = 14651 JPY = 135.72 USD = 68.79 GBP. I had to go to FedEx offices to get the documentation (more expenses from my pocket), and then go to the customs offices to seek for my package. Consulting the tracking of the package, it says that the package was delivered in my address, This is not true. After this bad experience, I am sorry to say that I will never buy anything more from Amazon.co.jp. Best Wishes, Paulo Correia» Paulo Correia CDJapan or HMV Japan are better options, HMV Japan overseas delivers are only by EMS I think. Best wishes, Paulo Correia

What exactly is on the DVD? Is it just the videos of the two songs? What are they like?

Hello everyone I used EMS for HSJS2 and had no problems, I'm still waiting for my single but it was an experiment to see how long it would take. I don't understand why some people have all the hassle with this system whilst it seems to work perfectly for others. As far as I'm concerned, it's not worth the risk just to have a CD or DVD a few days before everyone else. Mine still hasn't arrived (maybe tomorrow?) but with all the positive comments, I'm really looking forward to hearing it for myself. Best wishes Grant I think it is random chance, rather like walking through the green gate. They periodically stop you either because they have got nothing else to do and want to look busy or they think you are over-pregnant (as a man!) Peter S.

Thank you Colin.
I think: 1. parcel was an odd shape may have attracted attention. 2. multi-content ditto. 3. May be the EMS attracts more attention. 4. Someone did 'Enny, Meany, Miney, Mo'!
Only when a pattern begins to emerge will we know what is really going on. Peter S.

But perhaps you could not have waited! Peter S.

Hi Joe and everyone. YES, thank you my copy came this morning and I haven't had time to play it yet. I won't do so until I can listen to it without interruption. But I did read the booklet inside.
Does anyone know when they celebrate Mothers Day/Mothering Sunday in Japan. I notice several songs about mothers,, and Hayley has dedicated the CD to her own mother. Right now would be an ideal time to release a CD like that in the UK, with Mothering Sunday only a week away.
By the way the song titles don't seem to give much of a clue as to what Hayley's English lyrics are about. But perhaps I need to think about it more to see the significance.

Hello Martin! According to Kids Web Japan, Mother's Day is the second Sunday in May, so this year it will be 10th May, the same as in the USA and Canada. Richard
