Hi Richard, steve Thanks for your congratulations - Next milestone is full member and that sounds even better! Senior member sounds old so maybe I'll stop at 249!!!! Stuart Oh Chicken! Be bold and brave! Note the quote from the man who at 109 was recently given the freedom of his home town of the last 46 years. A man who is the last known surviving founder member of the RAF who said that his great age was due to doing 'many of the things we now know are bad for one's health'! Well, he didn't actually say that, what he said ran far more trippingly off the tongue but I pre-empt Roger's blue penci! Perhaps I have reason to be bouncy. I'll regale a tale I was going to mention (might still do if there is any encouragement) as a postscript to what Hayley means to me and my first meeting with her. I was in my local supermarket the other day and in the course of conversation (about the fine weather which was why I was then wearing shorts for the first time this year) she responded by saying that I really should wear shorts more often I had such a good pair of legs! When a lady of advanced years tells a man in his sixties he's got good legs, well, I left my supermarket with a somewhat more jaunty step than when I went in, which was already somewhat jaunty becaue of the fine weather but with my hat now definitely at a rakish angle. Go on! Live a little! Peter

Hi Peter, Thanks for the interesting if a little off topic comments about your legs, tell me do they allow this blind lady you met bring her guide dog into the supermarket or does she leave it outside?. Steve H Very unkind of you Steve to highlight the poor lady's disabilities. Yes, okay, we were having polite conversation so she was understandably civil. What amused me was how she found her dog. Having tortuously negotiated a path around two piles of baked bean tins in the middle of the floor without knocking them over, albeit colliding with the doors which didn't activate as quickly as she expected, she then put her fingers to her lips and blew a blast a steam engine would have been proud of. Unfortunately the animal, in its enthusiasm to heed pulled up in front of her slightly too late nearly knocking her over! Still, let's face it, a compliment's a compliment and i still felt great! Hey Peter, perhaps you should post a picture of ,"your good legs",so we all can see them. A similar thing happened to me a few years when I was in a bar.I was in my mid-thirties and the bar-maid carded me to see if I was 21 years old. She had a sheepish look on her face as she looked at my drivers license, noting my true age. TTFN,Dave Gibson

Encouraging me you might find yoursef in trouble with Roger, Richard and Dave...'who said he needs encouraging?' However, it is summer... and in mid-June in Huddersfield shorts might not be inappropriate dress for a hot summer evening's concert! Peter
