Someone made an early suggestion, Marianne, about creating a thread for childhood toy discssion and photos. I declined to doso as I'm not in a habit of creating threads. I feel too many threads throws discssion. All these discussions related to childhood and their pics. I suppose, I usually consider the creation of threads a prvilege of Moderators as they PM one another regularly and are more able to see the comprehensive whole in context with each thread. Or is that just a cop out? Peter S.

Hi Marianne, Yes, that would have been preferable but it's a bit late now. As we are in an off-topic section of the forum, it isn't so important. The reason we prefer to stay fairly strictly on topic when discussing Hayley (and other artists) is so we can locate information at a later date, and for the sake of continuity. That need is less likely here. You are quite right though, it would have been better to keep this as a thematic photography thread. Roger Okay. Onus on me. I should have had the strength of mind to do what I nearly did about fufty posts back! But as Roger says its a bit late now and would involve an awful lot of work. Peter S.

Hi guys, All this is very nice but please try to be selective when quoting from previous posts - I'm sure it isn't always necessary to quote the entire previous post including the photo too! Duplication, triplication.. quadruplication? Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave. I know this has absolutely nothing to do with baby & childhood (maybe extended childhood possibly) but did you aquire a new BMW 1200 motor cycle from your coastline in the last few days? There were 50 available apparently!!!! If you look in flickr under shipwreck there's very good coverage. Graeme i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi Graeme, Certainly not! There were apparently about 1,000 'looters' from all over the Country (for that in effect is what they are - whatever ancient law they thought supported them) and 60 million other people who wouldn't get involved in such activities. Thank goodness the police and coastguard have (belatedly) now decided to close off the beaches in Dorset. If anyone wants to discuss this further, please start a thread in the Off Topic board! Cheers, Dave

Very cute that pic. 10 o/o 10 whoever composed it back then. The red bubble car is a Messerschmitt which was produced by the same factory that built, among other things, the Me 109 fighter aircraft ,also called Bf 109, of WW2 fame. Messerschmitt took over that aircraft factory from Bayrische Flugzeugwerk henc the Bf prefix. BMW = Bayrische Motorenwerk = Bavarian Motor Works with which we're all familiar. What that means then is that the little red bubble car is really a BMW or Beamer as its commonly known. Hows that? Graeme

Great pictures everyone! Graeme I took another stab at taking pictures of pictures with a digital camera and I was met with modest success. So here are couple pictures of me. Eighth birthday. Here is one that is much closer to what I look like now. (Going on the edge of being childhood, but gives a comparison to the above picture). This is from my high school graduation 3 and half years ago. Katie
