Hello Andrew,
Thanks for remembering the 16 victims of the helicopter crash.
One can imagine how difficult the working conditions are on those oil platforms, as well as going to and from it.

Hi Mark,
Sorry, but the size of your images are significantly above the forum limit. The first was 1.2Mb! I have therefore removed them but left clickable links to the source.
Your mystery plant is some sort of Fritillaria of which there are approximately 90 different species. It could be F. imperialis but I can't be certain.

Roger Hi Mark and Roger, It is a Frittilaria imperialis, we call it in dutch "Keizerskroon", which is free translated, from dutch to english, "Emperor crown" We have it in the flowershop as flowers to put on a vase, but the leaves are smelling not so nice. If you have these plants in your garden, it will keep moles away, because the smell of these plant is similar, how a fox smells.... Greetz Joyce

The mystery plant is usually called 'Crown Imperial' here in Ireland. Never realised it was a Fritillaria - thanks Roger. Paddy

Roger Hi Roger Thanks for the adjustments re the photos - cant really understand it, I thought I had resized them Its very unusual for me to get this wrong - general lack of concentration. Thanks also for the plant ID Regards Mark

Hi Roger and Mark
I'm puzzled by the fact that there was a problem with the last two images I posted on "Hayley's Fashion" thread as both had been posted before on the respective concert thread without problem.
I'm not sure whether or not there may be a problem with Photobucket at the moment, but I am currently unable to see file sizes in image properties for the majority of images (though not all) posted recently, including my own.
I always check when reducing image size for the forum and usually save at half/threequarters of the allowable image size to allow for the 'add-on' which usually happens when uploading to Photobucket.
Has anyone else been having problems in this area?
Any suggestions Dave?
Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
If I cannot see the file sizes when viewing them in the forum, I copy the photo link then open another browser window and paste the link in its address bar, to display the photo outside the forum. I usually find that I can then obtain the photo file size. I hope it works for you!
Cheers, Dave

Hi Grant, Dave, Roger, The last time I posted photos ( Some time back, after Lincoln last August ) I had a similar problem. They appeared to be O.K. for size in Photobucket but were not when they were posted here. Dave had to provide links, as has been done for Mark today. There appears to be a problem at Photobucket Graham

BUT I just tried it with my two latest pics and the properties box is exactly the same as when viewed on the forum - still showing "not available" for size/file type info. I PM'd Roger about this as I've never encountered this problem before and it appears it's not just me and would appear that somewhere in the chain of events, images are being converted to Bitmaps!! I'm glad it's not just me! Best wishes Grant

Hi Mark Great pictures! I like the one Sophie took - very romantic with a nice watery background. My favourite though, is the one of Sophie, a great action picture. A tip for when you're taking that type of shot is to use as fast a shutter speed as possible - up the ISO too if necessary. I found when I started to use a digital camera that moving subjects need a much faster shutter speed than they did with film. Hope that helps. Best wishes Grant
