My parents suggested that we spend a few days in Gettysburg, PA. I like history, the US Civil War and all that. Of course we always go to the seaside in New Jersey; particularly Atlantic City.
A few years ago we took a coach trip to Alexandria Bay, NY...it's near Lake Ontario, and the tour included a visit to Ottawa, Canada. That was probably my best vacation.
I would love to spend a year in Britain and Ireland. Taking a holiday in Wales and Scotland would come top on my list. As is London.

Well, my family is leaving on this coming Wednesday for I think Sacramento, CA for the ASI convention. (I don't exactly remember what that stands for! lol) We've been going there for years and actually we sang there once!
So we'll be coming back Sunday.
Basically the kids have their own meetings and so do the parents so the only time you see eachother is in the morning, at breakfast and supper and then when you go to bed.
This year I'm in early teens and Crystal's in youth and all my friends are either not going this year or in youth so I'll be all by my lonesome self, lol.
Have fun everyone with your vacations!
Hugs, Natasha

Hi Natasha, I'm sure you will have a great time and will probably make a lot of new friends. I think ASI stands for Adventist Services and Industries but i could be wrong.

You won't really be by yourself because we'll all be with you in spirit. Actually you'd better stick to Coca-Cola while the rest of us get sloshed! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI've just thought of another song you could sing. How about "California Here I Come"?!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI hope you enjoy your trip, and don't forget to tell us all about it when you get back. Best Wishes to you and Crystal, Richard

Well, not just yet, but since I finally have gotten back to a job where I get paid vacation I am going, I think, to go down to Yorktown around Columbus day of next year and hit a few other things in the area. Come November of 2006 I may come to the UK, as I want to experience Remembrance Sunday.
For this year, since I do get some days, I'll prolly take an extra day around Thanksgiving and a day before the Allentown concert, I want to roll enough into next year to have 3 weeks available.

Hi Steven,
I get three weeks' paid vacation. Mind you, that's after three years of work. Plus I have to use up one week as the place is shut down. (That was last week.) For one of the weeks, I'm allowed to take the five days separately. I've not been able to go anywhere on vac. yet; but I have the 2 concerts which will be two very nice weekends!
The Pocono Mountains are a nice spot and close to NJ. Even just to get away for the day is nice.

I get to accumulate one day per month the rest of this year (I just started), plus one day I have to take or lose, then as of the 1st of the year I get 12 days, plus 15 sick days, plus the one personal day you have to take or lose, plus whatever I don't use this year. So if I carry a couple of days over I'll have 3 weeks. Not bad for just starting. The last place I was at they swung this ridiculous deal where I worked full-time hours but got none of the benefits of being full-time, AND then had the audacity to say they were doing me a favor.
And my family has a Pocono house, so I get out there pretty regularly. I'll be staying there the weekend of Allentown, of course, to cut down on driving time.

Hi Marianne, Sounds like you're going to have a great time in New Zealand with Graeme and Belinda. Are you going to visit as well or are you only going to see Hayley? I'm also leaving soon for holiday. From August 11 to 14, I'll be in Belgium. Then, it will be Ireland from August 20 to 27. Oh, before I forget, I'm also going to England from August 31 to September 1 Stephany
