In two weeks time I will be leaving for a 16 day round trip through Mexico, Belize and Guatemala.... I'm really looking forward to that!
As for my top vacation spot.... I guess the most beautiful and impressive thing I've ever seen in my life (not counting Hayley!) is the Victoria Falls on the border of Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. If you ever get a chance to go there, DO IT. Trust me on that one.
And my dream location.... well, this shouldn't come as a surprise, but New Zealand! It's always been New Zealand for me, long before I'd ever heard of Hayley and before I'd seen Lord of the Rings.

Enjoy your trip to South America, Jeroen! I've never been there but would love to go one day. I look forward to seeing some of your pictures in the photography thread I'm flying to Dublin tomorrow morning for vacation. I'm very excited to visit Ireland. I won't be around for a week so I'm sure I'll have a lot of catching up to do on the forum! I'll be back on August 27 - very close to Shepherds Bush i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif As one of our Irish friends would say : 'Weeeeeeee' Have fun guys - I'll miss you all Best wishes from Paris, Stephany

Hi Stephany Have a great time in Dublin. Thats one place that I gave been too, a number of times. A good way to see the city and to get your barings is to take the green & yellow open top city tour bus. You can get off and on again anywhere on route. You must stop at the Guinness factory and claim your free pint of Guinness at the end of the tour . They have a circular bar at the top of the Guinness building with floor to ceiling glass windows, from which you can see across the whole of Dublin and beyond - a great view - Just a suggestion We'll miss you here but, don't worry about that, have a good break and I'll seeyou in London Lots of love Mark x

Hi Belinda It sounds as though you really deserve a holiday. OK, so you have a while to wait before you go but that will just make it more exciting when the time comes Best wishes Mark

Hi Stephany,
An (early) welcome to Ireland. The weather forecast for tomorrow is not great but after that it's supposed to be good. Anyway, Ireland would not be the same without the rain!
Have a great time. 'Temple Bar' in Dublin is great for the 'craic' (= great fun).
Paddy

Re Holiday Plans
Forgot the topic of the thread in last post!
Just been to Brussels for 5 days to celebrate with all the family.
Later, Athens for 2 weeks in November. (+++++++Nana Mouskouri's Farewell Concert on 22nd October in the NCH, Dublin).
Wouldn't mind going to South America like jeroen. Have a fantastic trip.
Paddy

Hi everyone and thanks for your very kind words. Suitcase is ready - I'm waiting for my sister and parents so I have a few minutes to spend on HWI before I leave . Paddy - thank you for the weather forecast. The heavy rain will be my welcome to Ireland ! I wish I had the opportunity to meet you and our Irish members while I'm there but unfortunately we're with a group so we have to follow the guide's orders! Maybe at a concert Mark - I'm not sure about the Guiness factory but I will definitely try one if my parents allow me (yes, I am 20 and adult but they want to protect me forever!) Lots of love to you all, Stephany

You folks are starting to make me realise what I'm missing. I haven't been away on holiday for 21 years! Wow, since 1986? Where did you go on holiday , then? I haven't had a proper holiday in 5 years. Good thing I don't live in the UK, or a Butlin's package holiday would look very good right about now ! Joe

Hi Roger and Joe and others who have not had a holiday in years.
Maybe it just means you are in fact happy and content with where you are, rather than constantly searching for that far away green hill.
and if you are content, why bother with all the grief of going on holidays as they can be even more stressful than your ordinary stressful life.
If you get my drift..
