HI all, particularly those of you who are in NZ. How long do you think until we get the Treasure Special Edition?? So far in NZ they're released a special edition for both, Pure and Odyssey, but i can't remember how long it was after the release of the actualy album. Anyone have any ideas??? Because i'm guessing and hoping, that the speical edition will have the UK tracks on them, particularly E Pari Ra, just like Pure had Pokarakara Ana on the special edition. Dori

Hi Dori,
I think the most likely time would be towards the end of this year, possibly in the run-up to Christmas. My guess is that the NZ special edition would include 'E Pari Ra' and the other *missing* tracks.

Towards the end of this year? WOW!! That's a long time. It's funny, because Odyssey was released in August, and by December, i believe it was, they had the Special Edition on sale. Yes, it was during the release of King Kong that it was being advertised on TV and that was around December 18th. So that's a 4 month time span. I would think there would be one in July for Treasure, but of course, i could be completey wrong... It would be great to get info as soon as it's available!! Dori

Hello everyone,
I am pretty sure that I read in a recent article about the Rugby World Cup that Hayley has recorded a new version of the NZ National Anthem "God Defend NZ" anf that it will be included on the forthcoming Special Edition of Treasure.
Therefore, I think it's safe to say now that there will be one released later this year (but we don't yet have "official" confirmation). I will therefore change the thread title accordingly.
Cheers, Dave

You are quite right about the Anthem being recorded for the Special Edition, Dave, but that may only be for the NZ version of it. Erica mentioned last night that the original plan had been to coincide its release (in NZ) with her appearances at the rugby matches. At that time, her popularity even in New Zealand, would have been maximized. I think they are now looking for a more suitable time.

So Roger, you're saying it won't be released next month, during the World Cup??? This whole French banning the live performances is messing everything up!! Dori

Hi Dori, Based on what I heard last night, I think it is unlikely. I don't think the date has been decided and it almost certainly would have been if was to be released as soon as next month. We have no further clue yet as to when it might be. As soon as a date is announced, you will be first to hear... provided you log on before anyone else, of course! Roger

Thanks for the information, Belinda! It's a bit disappointing to see that 'God Defend New Zealand' is the only real 'new' song. But it's great to finally see tracks like 'E Pari Ra' appear on the New Zealand album. Good thing to hear that Hayley will be around to promote her album on October 16th. Stephany

Hi Stephany , Yes i agree but everyone in NZ does not already have the UK one with the songs on so they will be new to them i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt will make some good Xmas Presents and i think i will get one for a workmate who is quite ill but still works, i think she deserves some Hayley Magic. and i hope she will be able to go to a Hayley Concert next year with me and meet some of you guys and gals i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifWe will have to wait to the next album to get the songs the UK will get on their special edition of Treasure Belinda

Hi Belinda and Stephany Now I am definately going to need a bigger cabinet for my Hayley CD's as I've just ordered this one!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifFor anyone interested, total cost to UK is NZ$42.80 which at current exchange rates equates to £15.95. Quite reasonable, I though, for a potentially New Zealand only CD. Interestingly, this store accepts payment by PayPal which then charges in Australian dollars About this CD; I am intrigued to know what "special O-card packaging" is and are there really going to be 19 tracks on one CD? I suspect this might actually be a 2-CD set. Any ideas? Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant, Yes i suspect it will be a two cd set in a card board cover that slips over the cd like the Special edition of Pure did on that one it had A sticker that said Special edition 2 cd set featuring 6 new UK recordings . so i guess they will do the same to advertise that it is different from the other Treasure. Belinda Hello Belinda, thanks for that information, it sounds like a good CD to have in the shops for the pre-Christmas gift season... it will look feel and sound like a gift and it will certainly take NZ Treasure to up to 3x and possibly 4x platinum! 19 tracks is pretty cool too... and if they want to put them all on one CD, they probably can do (74 minutes is the maximum playing time on a standard CD, sometimes they do 80 minutes) but I haven't (yet ) added up all the track lengths. If they have changed the track order of the original CD tracks, that would indicate to me that they've done a complete makeover, and put it all on one CD, like they did with the UK Special Edition of Odyssey (I haven't checked). The O-card packaging is also known as a slipcase, which is pretty much what you think it is as mentioned here: So it looks like you've got yourselves a very nice album for Christmas, over in NZ! Cheers, Dave
