Raymond, I don't think I can give you a direct link. I launched my Itunes program and chose the 'New Zealand store'. Then typed 'Hayley Westenra' in the search engine and there it was. Stephany I see. Thank you, Stephany. I have just installed iTunes and listened to the sample. WoW!! Hayley's voice is very powerful! It is sad that I cannot buy this song on iTunes. Raymond

Hello everyone! My copy of this album popped through my letter box about 3 hours ago! I've only listened to "God Defend New Zealand" so far. Pity it's so short, but it is a fabulous version of the anthem. The ending came as a bit of a surprise too as I'm sure I've not heard her sing it quite like that before. Best wishes Grant

Hi Belinda and Stephany Sorry ladies! I assumed you would already have it Belinda and anyway I'm not very musically minded, so it's difficult for me to explain! OK I'll try! The last two notes of "Zeeland" where Hayley sings Ze - e - land she sings progresively higher to end on a very high note. When I've heard her sing before the rugby, she's emphasised the sylables, but stayed with the same sort of note. Hope that helps! Love Grant xxx

Hi Grant I like how she gets higher and higher as she says 'Zealand'. I think it's a fabulous way to show off her vocal abilities AND her love or her own country. I thought it was a very nice version of the anthem myself. But i also like her other version in her self titles album. She sings that very 'angelically', whereas in this one she sings it with more 'maturity' in her voice. Both are lovely - i listen to them quite frequently! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDori

I do understand what you mean and it will be very interesting to hear that. It's always a surprise and a pleasure to hear different variations although some work better than others. Love, Stephany xx

Thanks for the explanation, Grant! I take it Hayley sings the last note an octave higher than usual. She occasionally does this with the last line of 'Pokarekare Ana', usually when she sings it as a duet (as she did with Bryn Terfel at Faenol). Richard

Hi Dori, I'm really happy you enjoy your NZ Special Treasure but are these cat's claw scratches on this chair Graeme HI Graeme, That is so funny!! I'm not actually sure! I don't even know where that chair came from! My neighbors have three cats and i have two birds ( ) So naturally, cats are going to be in my territory!! I thought the brown of the chair was a good contrast with the color of the CD case... Dori i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

What better way to end the year than by expanding my collection of Hayley's albums?! This morning, the New Zealand Special Edition of Treasure arrived safely. I ordered this version simply because it includes God defend New Zealand which is just wonderful. I have amended my A-Z of Songs accordingly. I am now puzzled about something. If the original New Zealand version was called 'Celtic Treasure', why is the S/E called 'Treasure'? Roger
