Thank you so much for the alert, Meagan! 'Un Giorno Per Noi' is also on Natasha Marsh's debut album and it's a lovely song. The version with both Hayley and Jonathan seems gorgeous. I am also very impressed by All Angels' and Jonathan's French accent. Wow! I look forward to hearing the entire songs. Thank you again Meagan. Stephany

You raise some interesting thoughts, Meagan and I must be careful how I respond so I don't cross threads. I created a thread, 'What follows Hayley other than more Hayley?' I noticed a response from Richard in this thread that he did not feel this CD was for him. Perhaps he will enlighten us? In fact I clicked on your link partly because you had taken the trouble to provide it and partly out of curiosity as to why it wasn't for Richard. It is pleasant enough listening overall and the Hayley's and 'All Angels'' contributions are interesting, in fact may still push me into acquiring it when it becomes available. However, what would that indicate in my motivation but that it is Hayley and therefore I think, why buy the CD for only one track? Okay, I can download one track or two tracks but that opens up what we have debated and what I am not going to side-track into as there is probably a thread about downloads. It jolts me for the first time into considering downloads and therefore understanding why tehre may indeed be a place for them. Now Ansell's voice is pleasant and I would describe the CD as wallpaper, whereas with Hayley I listen intently--and also 'All Angels'. Anyone could sing the songs Ansell sings, for the songs appeal in themselves, whereas with 'Hayley' and 'All Angels' they are themselves, regardless of what they sing. 'The singer, not the song' syndrome. This thinking also brings home the fact that increasingly I am becoming more and more demanding in what I listen to. Is that me, my age, my mood or is it something that applies to both Hayley and 'All Angels'? I know I am hearing something extraordinarily different? Suddenly, other offerings no longer rate. I find I am being increasingly critical. Is this the Hayley, 'All Angels' factor? You may not yet be certain, as her recorded repertoire is still very small but you feel with either you are possibly hearing the best there is to hear. Especially with 'All Angels' where I posted that the heroes of their recording 'Into Paradise' are the arrangers that understood those voices so acutely they brought out the best that could be achieved full stop. This links back to Hayley's quote in that interview Stephany so kindly took such pains to translate for us--'a life is not enough to know all that the voice can achieve' (I paraphrase from memory). The link is also to that thread recently about talent 'yesterday and today' and also the the thread on the therapeutic effect of music. Perhaps we here are sharing a widening, awakening experience through Hayley and 'All Angels' and we are all moving on individually in parallel paths, blessed by a camaraderie that can share those individual journeys and individually gain nmore from such interactions? I think I will buy the CD as the tunes on it are tunes in easy togetherness I do not already have and it has continued to play to me while I have typed this, so I hope what I have typed makes sense! Perhaps it is one of those 'easy' things that grows on you. Richard, another listen and another thought? Peter S.

Thanks for the link Meagan.... hey these are one minute clips too, not the usual 30 second ones - excellent! I shall be buying this album... and not only for the excellent-sounding Hayley and All Angels collaborations, I always did think Jonathan was the class act in that particular X-Factor

Hi Megan, Thanks for the link to the demo tracks. I enjoyed Hayley and All Angels but the main part is just 'not my cup of tea'. No surprise therefore when I say I am not looking to buy it. I have many more CD's I want to buy first !

I'm certainly inclined to now but I will do the CD version--that way you get it neatly packaged. There is a space issue that way but until they think of providing a digital version of the packaging I don't think downloading is for me--unless it really is just one track. However, economy of space is an issue and I am digitising an awful lot of information to have more space in which to live. Apologies, Richard, sorry. Peter S.

Hi everyone. I hope you wont mind me posting on here. I think I might be the Jonathan Ansell fan that Dave is talking about. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI just thought I would pop across and say how much I am looking forward to hearing Hayley and Jonathan duet together - and also All Angels. My daughter is a big big fan of Hayley and I love her voice very much too - she has one of the loveliest most pure voices ever. I've just listened to the duets on the samples and both sound wonderful. And could there ever be a lovelier Romeo and Juliet -not in my book. I've been a fan of Jonathan ever since I first heard him sing and I'm over the moon with the two collaborations. They enhance a beautiful album - that's for sure. Roll on Feb 18th. Love Melody xx

Hello Melody, and welcome to our forum! We've only got three weeks to wait before the album is released, but suddenly that seems a long way off. I'm sure we'll be having some very interesting discussions next month! Best Wishes, Richard

Thanks for the lovely warm welcome. I had a feeling you might have been meaning me Dave! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSadly my daughter and I have never been to a concert of Hayleys but we have all her albums and make sure we watch any tv appearances that come up. Now I have found you all over here - I shall be able to keep an eye on any news and any upcoming appearances. Lovely site. Love Melody xx
