Jonathan Ansell, a former member of G4, is releasing his debut solo album on February 18th. According to Chantelle on the AAI forum, one track will feature Hayley, and another will feature All Angels. I am not able to confirm that at present but I'm sure someone will in due course. The album can be pre-ordered at Amazon UK from where the following track listing comes: 1. Now We Are Free 2. My Own True Love 3. Here's To The Heroes 4. Chariots Of Fire 5. Prayer In The Night 6. Vois Sur Ton Chemin (Les Choristes) 7. Down To The River To Pray 8. Godfather 9. Romeo And Juliet 10. Manon Des Sources 11. Cavalleria Rusticana 12. Che Gelida Manina 13. Cinema Paradiso 14. La Califfa www.jonathan-ansell.co.uk/index.htmRoger

Hi Roger, That's good news! I have it on good authority (of possibly the biggest Jonathan Ansell fan in the world ) that it's: Un Giorno Per Noi (Romeo and Juliet) with Hayley Westenra! and Vois Sur Ton Chemin with All Angels. The information is on Jonathan's new official website www.jonathanansell.com/ Cool! Cheers, Dave

Thank you Roger and Dave for this excellent news. I am absolutely delighted to hear that All Angels will be singing with Jonathan on the track 'Vois sur ton Chemin'. It's from the (brillant) French movie 'Les Choristes' and it's a gorgeous song. I look forward to hearing the girls' French accent You can listen to the original version of the song HERE. I don't know Jonathan Ansell but his CD sounds very interesting! I love movie soundtracks and I recognize most of the songs from the tracklisting. Another breakthrough for UCJ? Stephany

Wow! I've always loved that song so much, especially the piano version by Dana Atherton. I can't wait to hear Hayley's rendition! Hopefully it'll be released over here, though that's not likely. Oksy

Hi everybody! There's a review of Jonathan's album on Classical X. It contains very positive comments on All Angels and Hayley's performances. My least favourite track on the CD is ‘Race to the End’ from ‘Chariots of Fire’, no real reason, just didn’t click with me, although a good performance by Jon if a little bit G4’ish. However, across all 13 tracks the best one for me has to be ‘Vois Sur Ton Chemin’, the theme to ‘The Choristes’ performed with classical girl group ‘All Angels’. This haunting but cheeky jaunt around the forest of the mind has Jon commanding a sensual ballet of spine tingling moments. Shame its such a short track, I could listen to it all day long. I like this album; it has to be a great start to Jon’s solo career and it’s sure to go down well with his already flourishing fan-base which is bound to expand even further. With an excellent mix of well-known classics, his A&R / producer need a good pat on the back. Don’t get me wrong, his voice has still got a lot of maturing to do, but with the right guidance both with his voice and career, he may well go down is history standing shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Bocelli, Jose and Pav!
Stephany

I was a very big fan of G4 and think Jon has a brilliant voice. I can't wait to get the album. I think the duet with him and Hayley will be brilliant!

A question for Roger or Dave - as both Hayley and All Angels are appearing on the album, is he by any chance now managed by Bedlam? Or is it just a coincidence?

Not that I know of, Martin. Hayley has also appeared on a new album by Mario Frangoulis and, last year on one by Helmut Lotti but they're not Bedlam's artists either.
