Hi Drive-Dem-Daft Drive-in D.J,
It's thanks to Roger and Drew that I went searching the net.
I've been hoping for a long time to find the lovely roses in Ireland,
as i thought it would be 'kinder' than ordering from the UK.
'Bakker' is a bit cheaper in Holland than in Ireland
but I suppose it costs them to bring them from Holland.
Still good value, though.
I'm 'over the rainbow'!
See you in Dublin soon.
Paddy

Hello Roger,
Wow...that is a lovely rose! I wish that it blooms right through the winter.
Here in Pennsylvania, we just had our first frost (a full month late).

The First Rose Of Summer: I have just counted up the number of flowers and buds in the garden and coincidentally it comes to twenty-one. This one is for Grant (there should be 60!)

Fit for a Princess! Mine will take much longer to bloom. I was looking out for your pic for the last few weeks. But the forum web page refused to show itself for the last three days! Just in time to wish Grant many more youthful hours. Paddy

Lovely photo there, Drew. A very soft peach blush color is that rose!
Cheers, Joe

Rachel, Tangust, Augusta Luise .... Hayley Westenra. All depends on which country you're in. Bakker UK has it as 'Augusta Luise' on: www.bakker.co.uk/index.aspx?Getting late, if you want flowers this year. Better to buy it potted ('Rachel') from: www.apuldramroses.co.ukPaddy

Thanks Paddy, Yes I agree it's too late for this year. I will however get some in the autumn. The links you provided worked fine and a search in each found the right rose. Many thanks, Graham

Many thanks, Graham Hi Graham, Maybe it's not too late for this year, if you get the potted version. If you wanted, you could keep it in the pot until later in the year. But I'd chance planting it now? Try not to disturb the soil around the roots, if possible, and make sure it's well watered after planting. It's a fairly vigorous rose, so there shouldn't be a problem. If there is, consult the real experts, Drew, Roger and I'm not sure who else ... Paddy
