Hi All... I'm not trying to boast here but I had another opportunity to mention Hayley on gather.com. It happened on a review of the Book *Wuthering Heights* and I mentioned Kate Bush and Hayley Westenra singing the song !! The writer of this article usually gets 40+ readers ! Love, Marianne

Hi All Having only joined the forum , and not got to look at all the posts, I was wondering it anyone had come up with the idea of a lapel pin for HWI . To be worn at Hayleys Concerts , it would also let others know who are members of the HWI Yours Brian

Hi Brian, Well, yes, we have thought about a lapen pin but that is about as far as we have got with it! Personally, I am strongly in favour of the idea and began to look around for a supplier. I had in mind the initials "HWI" in white (or perhaps silver) against a royal blue enamel background. I then discovered that members of another singer's forum are doing exactly the same thing and I didn't want people to assume we were copying their idea. We then learned that a small number of people are using those badges to try to gain some advantage (to get backstage, for example), sometimes successfully, much to the concern of many other members. For that reason, we have not discussed the idea any further - but we may do so in future. Meanwhile, we have the HWI sweatshirts (for which Belinda is taking orders) and the Westenra of Christchurch, NZ tartan tie (designed by Andrew). There is no reason why we should not have all three and, perhaps, at some future point, we will. Roger

Grant and I have been at this sticker thing for some time, The first version had a photo of Hayley and a paragraph of text but the quality of the photo reproduction did not do Hayley justice so only a limited number were printed and were never put into serious production. The files for these have since been lost in a computer failure, so there are only a small number of them in existance. so they are definitely collectors items now  even I don't have them In the end a simplified version was printed and given to several members at the Dublin and Limerick concerts recently and it looks like this also a smaller version about the size of a credit card have also been passed around including : For more information about our favourite singer Hayley Westenra check out these websites www.hayley-westenra-international.comwww.hayleywestenraworldwide.piczo.comwww.hayleywestenra.com

Hello Comet and Grant! I can see a possible problem if the sticker features a picture of Hayley. The driver of the vehicle behind might want to take a closer look, like this! uk.youtube.com/watch?v=tV0eb9AGFEwRichard

Hi Comet and everyone I still have quite a large stock of "Hayley Westenra Fans On Board" bumper stickers and always have some with me at Hayley concerts, as those members of HWI who are already in possession of them will testify! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAndy very proudly showed me in Llandudno that he had one in the rear windscreen of his car. I still have all the small ones as there hasn't been a concert since they arrived with me, If anybody wants them PM me and send me a stamped self addressed envelope. Best wishes Grant

I just discovered a really cool way for HWI to promote Hayley: by having its own online radio station! There is now a site that allows everyone to set up their own station and broadcast a playlist: blip.fmJust think how sweet it would be to hear "HWI-FM" over your computer speakers as it goes about its mission of broadcasting Hayley to the world! And yes, Hayley is already on many playlists by various DJs on Blip. It would be nice to have a station dedicated to her and her alone.

But who is paying for the royalties, Steve?

Hi Steve,
If this radio station were to play more than previews then I would have to agree with Peter...
I think enough "illegal promotion" already happens on youtube.. (although I am glad youtube made me really appreciate Hayley).
Cheers Jono

It's a small thing but it may have a long term effect.
Instead of using a "BOOKMARK" to log in to HWI.
If you were to first Google "Hayley Westenra" then click on the offered HWI link surely this would increase the count of hits for Hayley in Google and also move HWI up the list of offered or most preferred Hayley sites.
(I may be wrong in the above assumption, If someone knows better , let us know.)
I know it would take you a few seconds longer but maybe after a couple of months of such activity we might see a noticeable change in HWI's position in the Top Ten Hayley sites. It might also nudge that Fallen Star item out of sight or at least below HWI.

What I have come up with for the fastest access to the "50 most recent posts" is to bookmark "Google, HWI Forum - Search Results". That goes through Google, no extra sweat, but I don't know whether that accomplishes anything toward the point that you are making. Anything else that I have tried doing is too involved. BobS
