Hello folks! I think I've found the problem on page 337 of the Twitter thread and fixed it... I didn't copy the offending link before I reposted it, so I don't know exactly what was wrong. Richard Thanks Richard, I bet that's the first time you've fixed an errant AJAX process! Cheers, Dave

It happened to me on Firefox. I never use IE anymore. But it hasn't happened to me since I posted about it here, and before that, it hadn't happened in a little while, either. So, there must have been something else some time before Martin's post, but since whatever it is is probably on a previous page, it probably won't happen again, until the next one. LOL Oh well. Dave, I'm just wondering what a brand name cleaner has to do with the forum (Ajax). Ajax is also something to do with the Hayley Online chats, too. I thought maybe the cleaning brand was a sponsor, or something. Ajax is a competitor of a similar cleaning product, which goes by the name Comet. So many HWI references in the cleaning aisle... but, unless noted on the label, they test on animals, so don't use them.

Hello folks! The big problem with a broken Instagram link is that nothing shows in the affected post. Now I know what to look for, if it happens again I'll be able to fix it quickly, like a white tornado! AJAX stands for asynchronous JavaScript and XML, so now we know! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajax_(programming)Richard

Here's another one. I remember the jungle if not the advert. There was a UK version of this too I remember.

Hi everyone,
The image-hosting site Photobucket had been having serious server issues over the last several hours. As I write this, forum images, as well as members' avatars and signatures should be back on-line.
Thank you, Joe

Does anyone else find it takes an age for Instagram images to load? On my ipad it can take up to one minute whereas other images are instantaneous. Perhaps, there is a bug fix we need to load? Martin

I always considered that the time images take to load is related to your internet connection speed. Here on a campsite in Devon, the wifi is 200 times slower than what I am used to at home, so any images take time to load. But it is true that even at home some seem to take several seconds. I haven't made the connection with the source - so perhaps instagram, which Hayley seems to use more and more, does take longer than others. I shall keep my eyes open, and consider the source of those that take a long time. Probably better done at home though!

Martin Bit slow on my ipad as well, Martin. Mind you, everythng is slow on my poor DSL 3 mb/s connection. I had a look round ProBoards Support forum for any notices but there were none. I've not looked there in a few months and I saw something that all forum admins dread... Dave...don't read the next line... I do see that ProBoards are hard at with their Version 6 forum software update...beta testing signups later this year. OK you can open your eyes now.

I find embedded Instagram photos can take longer to load, but it seems to depend on the network connection speed and the traffic at the time. I don't think there's a serious problem. https://www.instagram.com/p/BH7b5sHDDbq Richard

Martin Yes, but I just assumed it was because I was using various out of date versions of windows xp and vista not to mention the coal powered, steam engined computers I still use.

Oh and it took almost a minute to load justnow, with campsite wi-fi (well 57 seconds actually) Martin D
