Yes, Joe, we all owe you thanks for making the forum ad free. I have a 30mb/sec link at home, so they aren't usually a problem except for those that suddenly jump up and obscure what you are trying to read. But one of that on HWI (I have seen that sort of thing on the Offical Forum though).

Joe and Martin, in both cases, I was actually talking about the official forum. I mainly only see ads here before I log in. But on the other forum there are ads going at all times. They never stop flashing something or other. And it's the avatar on the official forum, and the size is much smaller than 150. The one that's there now is 60x80! I tried to make a new one yesterday, but to no avail. I was able to put my new signature there, though!

And good luck over there working on your avatar Yep, the ads do appear to visitors, and to members before we log in. Sort of an incentive for visitors to become a member!

I wish our forum did that, too.

Okay, I'm not having the signature problem anymore, but the photo of Seb whoever-berg didn't show up at first, but did after I refreshed. That's it as far as that problem goes.
However, another problem I'm encountering is often when I click Login, it'll say "Secure connection failed". Sometimes if I start reading some of the threads and then click it again, it'll work better then. But today, I tried it over and over, and I didn't think I was going to be able to log in today at all! Finally I was, but it was a bit of a shock after all those failed tries. LOL

LOL Hi Libby, I had a look on the ProBoards Support Forum. A member there may have had a similar situation...his post is linked below...please see if his screenshot has the error message you see... support.proboards.com/thread/501790/secure-connection-failed-ocsp-response

It doesn't look exactly the same, but I think the words are: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to login.proboards.com. The OCSP response contains out-of-date information. (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_old_response) The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Interestingly, today and yesterday, I was finally able to log in via the official charts thread. I click log in with every visit to each thread. I'll try going there first tomorrow to see if that proves anything. LOL

Just want to let you know I haven't had that problem for a couple days. I hope it's a thing of the past.

Hi all,
Seems that some of the posts containing embedded Instagram items are seeing issues, namely the photo not appearing.
Also, a pop-up error box of "JS Error: ReferenceError: 'instgrm' is undefined" or similar may be encountered. Looks like Safari and IE users are seeing it.
I have the ProBoards system admins looking at things; apologies for the inconvenience.
Best wishes, Joe

This is just a minor annoyance, which I highly doubt can be fixed. Whenever I click on a thread and it takes me to the last post, it always scrolls up and down at least 2 times before it finally settles at the bottom of the page. I find I need to close my eyes, because it drives my eyes crazy. LOL I had a high school teacher whom I know would have a hard time handling something like that. LOL Stuff that messes with your equilibrium, you know?

Hello Jeff! I think the error message appears if the Instagram is slow to load. I still see it occasionally, but it's a minor annoyance rather than a serious problem. Richard

You all probably have no control over this, but I don't like the fact that there's no way to edit PM's. I discovered that I created a terrible run-on sentence, and it's frustrating not to be able to fix it. Next time, I'll try to remember to preview the message, but I'm just not in the habit of doing that, since I don't have to worry about that on the main forum.

A bit like Facebook really. Once it's gone it's gone, and you can't change it even if you realise it was not what you meant. At least on Twitter you can delete your tweet and start again.
