My actual Chinese surname (father's side) is this:
If it makes you feel better i've only gone 3 generations with it (on my fathers side) simply because I can no longer read Chinese and the records are supposedly all on scrolls in Xiamen China... so I am in much the same boat you are
At any rate I'm glad for my Sino side even though I don't know much about it

Genealogy/family history is a passion of mine, and thankfully most of my ancestors have been well researched back to the late 1500s for most lines... I even know how I am related to Hayley for goodness sakes... that surely must count for something
