Hi Belinda, I've read that Elizabeth's uncle is Sir Howard Morrison. Now the actor that played Jango Fett in recent Star Wars movies is a nephew of Sir Howard Morrison. That would make Elizabeth Marvelly a 1st cousin to Jango Fett Too funny! Peter

Yes, thats the guy... its interesting... I'd have never have known the actual name of this actor if I didn't visit this HWI site, and as a result generate the requisite interest to look into this stuff...
Marvelly is an interesting surname though... quite uncommon. I am now wondering/curious when the first Marvelly came to New Zealand... and how the Maori/Te Arawa heritage came into this - very interesting.

hi Stephany, I'm sure there is going to be lots more activity on this topic when she comes out with her album Shes got an absolutely fabulous voice... but it sounds completely different from Hayleys. I only hope people (the press) don't always compare her to Hayley like they did in this article... kind of like how Hayley is mentioned along with Charlotte Church Peter

I just found the tracklist for Elizabeth's album in New Zealand here: www.smokecds.com/cd/42788 1 There You'll Be (From Movie Pearl Harbour) 2 Love Can Build A Bridge 3 The Road & Miles To Dundee 4 Tarakihi 5 La Vie En Rose 6 Flower Duet (Lakme) 7 Stranger In Paradise (duet with Alfie Boe) 8 When You Are Sad 9 It Is You (From Movie Shrek) 10 Far Away 11 Parlez-Moi D'amour 12 Suo Gan (From Movie Empire Of The Sun) 13 He Wawata I wonder what happened to You Raise Me Up and Hoki Hoki Tonu Mai? Maybe they will be on the album when it is released in the UK. I've never even heard of most of the songs on there, but it looks interesting. Can't wait to hear it! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Elizabeth Marvelly becomes the next big thing, especially If she's got Costa Pilavachi on her side. As many of you know, he was the driving force behind bringing Hayley to the world stage.
She certainly does have a magical voice and her debut's song selection is refreshing -- not a warhorse in sight. Of course, that could change if done-to-death "You Raise Me Up" is added.

Hi Meagan, Thank you very much for the tracklisting. I particularly look forward to hearing her cover of 'There you'll be' because I love this song by Faith Hill. I see she is also singing twice in French - hehe, it should be interesting to hear that. Also, here are a few pictures of Elizabeth at her debut album launch today in Auckland. There is a slight ressemblance with Hayley IMO Stephany

Hi Stephany, Glad you enjoyed the link. Yes very strange it is not on her album. Yes; there is a certain 'Hayley look' in photo's in the previous post, but it is not as obvious in the 'You Tube' video. Best wishes, Graham

I love maori songs so tracks 4 & 13 ('Tarakihi' and 'He Wawata') should be great. Provided they are in maori of course Yes; there is a certain 'Hayley look' in photo's in the previous post, but it is not as obvious in the 'You Tube' video. That's true. Depends on the pictures I suppose. Take care, Stephany
