Well, I'm certainly not holding it against him, so nothing to forgive, as far as I'm concerned. I'm just not very interested in it. As I said, it appears to be a money-maker for him, and as we all know, it's been a tough year for artists. Luckily, he happens to be an artist who has the voice and huge fan-base to allow him pull that off. I just don't know if I want to buy it, let alone pre-order it. I need to hear more clips. Part of the problem, as mentioned, is that I'm not sure if I recognize what some of these songs are, and the ones that I do know, I'm not especially keen on. If I don't buy it, it'll be the only major release of Josh's that I don't have. I listen to all of my music on Spotify now. I think I’d only purchase a CD if I really wanted it as a collector item. So I’ll definitely be listening to the new album.

Well done Jillian, It's so convenient and easily accessible, I heard an orchestral version of Midnight Express on the radio recently, I knew I had the original soundtrack to the film on cd and wanted to hear it, it took me over 45 minutes to find it. I think it's playing time might be less than the time it took me to find it. Glad you enjoyed the Josh Groban concert and you can play it again, was that a condition of the paid ticket or did you just record it with your own devices ?

Spotify, convenient and easily accessible?!? That was sooo not my experience with it! It was horrible! I downloaded the app because a google search had led me to believe that Hauser's music was only available on certain digital music sites. I decided to try Spotify. It was great, until I tried to skip to a certain song that I wanted to hear, but instead it decided to mix in this random music that I had absolutely no interest in. And when I tried to skip it, it only skipped to yet another random song I didn't want to hear! And then when I tried skipping AGAIN, it wouldn't let me! Not to mention there are ads unless you pay, and further research revealed that it's not worth it then, either! If I'm going to pay anyway, I'd rather pay for the actual album! Luckily upon further digging, I found that Hauser most definitely DOES have CDs available for purchase on Amazon! What a huge relief! I immediately bought it and deleted the stupid Spotify app, never ever to be downloaded again for as long as I live!! Also... how do artists get any money from something like this? Didn't Taylor Swift remove her music from it because she didn't feel as though this was in an artists' best interests? I don't care a whit about Taylor Swift's music, but I think she has a point. If I like an artist and their albums, I am going to support them properly by buying their music. And I really have to like an artist to buy their music. If I like them enough to attempt using Spotify and driving myself crazy in the process, then I like them enough to actually buy their music. I think it's kind of disrespectful otherwise.

I have a subscription to Spotify so it’s a paid service.
When you pay for Spotify, the service is incredible. You can listen to songs individually, play albums, skip around as much as you like, make playlists etc. No ads at all.
But I think the free version is terrible. But that makes sense it would be.
I use Spotify so much that it works out as excellent value for money for me. I love it.

Well, I'm old-fashioned enough that I still prefer CDs, although I do usually put them on my mp3 device. Partly because my boombox that I received after my 10 year anniversary at Lowes is VERY loud with CDs. So I have to hook my mp3 player to it instead, and actually that's fine. And also, I really do prefer to shuffle as I wish. But I value having the option of being able to play my favorite artists using any device I feel like using.
A question about Spotify: Does it still mix in random songs it thinks you will like, or does it only skip to songs on your actual playlist. I don't mind that at all, as that's the main reason I use my mp3 player. However, I prefer to pay for the album, not for Spotify service.

I usually just search for albums and listen to whole albums. But there are playlists you can listen to - like if you want to listen to a mix of songs from various genres.

I see. I remember seeing playlists of Hayley songs before, and I got excited, but it was someone else's playlist that they had created.

Josh has released another song off of his upcoming record. To put my two cents in on the discussion, I prefer to buy CDs and/or vinyl where possible. One the artist is helped more with purchases of their music than streaming services. But the second reason is that the music is better quality due to being a larger file and less compressed on CDs and vinyl. So I will stick to buying the music. As far as buying Josh's new record, I may wait several months before I purchase it. But I like what I am hearing so far.

Yes, this song is pleasant, and I have heard it before, now that I know what it is. I might get it, after all. But like you, I'll probably wait on it before I decide for sure. No pre-sales for me. LOL

I received last night an email that Josh is preforming in WA and thought of you Libby. They are on August 24th & 25th. Are you going to either one? Winery Site
