Nice!
I can't say these virtual concerts excite me that much... well, if Hayley did one, I'd pay for it, but... I'm going to hold out hope that real concerts will be had again in the future, and that I will be able to attend a "real" Josh Groban concert again. However, if we still have to stay 6 feet apart, the tickets will sell out faster than ever, and the choice in good seats will be sorely lacking! I'm even a Friends of Josh Groban member, with early pre-sales, but that doesn't necessarily help, as there are a lot of members. Also, I always have this feeling that ticket companies hold onto certain seats, even during pre-sales!

Excellent! Have any song titles been released from Harmony yet?
I didn’t watch any of the earlier concerts, but I’m thinking of getting a ticket to one or a couple of these new ones. It’s been so long since I’ve been to any kind of concert. I know it’s not the same as a real concert, but realistically it’s going to be a while until he comes to Australia again, so it’s better than nothing!

Fair point! I would guess the song he sang for us a few months ago would be on it... I forgot what it was called or how it sounds, but I do remember it sounded great!

I’ve found a couple of great interviews: www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/9435271/20-questions-with-josh-grobanI can see that the album will mostly be covers of commonly requested songs. Josh says that he has been doing a lot of writing, but most of those songs will go on the album after Harmony. (Nice!) In another article he said that "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and "She" will be on the album. I’ve seen a YouTube video of Josh performing She so he has done this one in concert. youtu.be/cKA8vQK0jb8I’m looking forward to The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face. I think it will work really well with Josh’s voice.

He's taking a big risk with The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Roberta Flack's original is one of the the most beautiful, haunting songs I've ever heard. It will be very interesting to see if he can pull it off - it won't be easy. At all.

Well Dave, let's judge for ourselves..... youtu.be/IukFxQ7cWwUMaybe it's just me but I do prefer this song sung by a woman, probably because like you Roberta Flack was the first version I heard.

Thanks Jeff, yes it's a very nice version of 'First Time' and he sings it well, Josh fans will love it on the album. But Roberta Flack's version (it's not the original of course) will always be, for most, the definitive version and rightly so IMO. The 5m 22s of her album recording has to be the fastest that a 5 minute song has ever whizzed by for me, I get completely lost in it. I can see why the single had to be chopped by over a minute to get airplay, though it doesn't quite match the longer version - but I'll stop now, before I get too far off topic in a Josh thread!

Tracklisting released for Harmony, plus a clip of The Impossible Dream: 1.The World We Knew (Over and Over) 2.Angels 3.Celebrate Me Home 4.Shape of My Heart (Duet with Leslie Odom Jr.) 5.Your Face 6.Both Sides Now (Duet with Sara Bareilles) 7.She 8.The Impossible Dream 9.The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face 10.It’s Now or Never 11.I Can’t Make You Love Me 12.The Fullest (Feat. Kirk Franklin) He definitely sounds amazing in this clip, but is it just me, or does this tracklisting not sound that exciting? I mean, we've gotten used to Josh Groban songs being Josh Groban songs. I think this is just a money-maker for him. A lot of fans are really excited about these covers, and that's good, but I just don't know if I'm that interested in this one. I think I would need to hear samples of all before I consider buying it. I'll wait for his next "real" album. LOL It's funny that he's singing It's Now or Never, since he has already recorded a song called Now or Never on his album Awake. Because of this, it took me a minute to realize what this "new" song was. I'm actually not sure I even recognize what some of these other songs even are. I do know that Celebrate Me Home is a song by an American Idol runner up from the second season. It was the "going home" song one of the first years I watched AI, so you'd hear it every single week when contestants were sent home. So not especially excited about that. I Can't Make You Love Me is one I've always found dreary and depressing, although it has a pleasant sound otherwise. And, Both Sides Now? Meh... Hayley's is all I'll ever listen to, and even then, it's not among my favorite Hayley songs.

I connected my laptop to my TV and with the surround sound the quality is great. I think I might watch it back again. The quality was brilliant. It was streamed with a full DVD level quality production and finishing. Wouldn't be surprised if these concerts end up available for purchase at some point. The only thing is that it was a bit odd for a song to end and for there to be total silence. But Josh did a great job of carrying the concert without an audience. There's going to be another two on - the new album launch and a holiday concert. So I would recommend them.

I think that normal writing and creation procedures haven’t been possible. I agree that the song list isn’t exactly groundbreaking, but I am pleased to have something to look forward to

Well, I'm certainly not holding it against him, so nothing to forgive, as far as I'm concerned. I'm just not very interested in it. As I said, it appears to be a money-maker for him, and as we all know, it's been a tough year for artists. Luckily, he happens to be an artist who has the voice and huge fan-base to allow him pull that off. I just don't know if I want to buy it, let alone pre-order it. I need to hear more clips. Part of the problem, as mentioned, is that I'm not sure if I recognize what some of these songs are, and the ones that I do know, I'm not especially keen on. If I don't buy it, it'll be the only major release of Josh's that I don't have.
