But that is only if you what too. me too. what to know something funny I odered there cd with IL divo and Amy Nuttall cd . I do not know how her cd is going to do but it is another classical crossover cd. I found a Choirboys appearance on the 26th October on ITV: Loose Women - Jo Brand and the Choirboys join Kaye Adams, Carol McGiffin, Nina Wadia and Sherrie Hewson. I can't fnd anything for this week though, maybe the 26th is the one. Ther are also on ITV - GMTV - the next day, October 27th I will make a diary note to record them and put them up. Maybe Gerrit will host them permanently, if we ask him nicely? Especially as it's your birthday this week! Cheers, Dave

Hello Kimberly and Dave! I've just listened to the clips on the Choirboys' web site, and they sound great. They sang "Danny Boy" and "Tears In Heaven" at St. James's Church in Piccadilly, together with "Let There Be Peace On Earth" and "Do You Hear What I Hear?". Hayley joined them for the last song in the church, as she does on the album, so I will be buying this CD. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi, I'm only too pleased to host Choirboys videos! I am already hosting heaps of Libera vidoes, so why not. I'm not running out of webspace for some time yet.
But you may have to send me an e-mail, Dave, if ever you post a video onto your own webspace - I may not necessarily be on the alert!
Cheers, Gerrit

Here is a aricle I found. www.cambridge-news.co.uk/lifestyle/arts_music/news/2005/10/17/6710919d-a56e-4135-94e1-9c15cb6d3513.lpfChoirboy band tipped for No 1 BOOKIES are tipping a new choir-based boy band for the prestigious Christmas number one spot. Trio The Choirboys are 13/1 with bookmakers William Hill for the top spot. Singin sensatons: CJ and Patrick And two of the band teetering on the brink of stardom are choristers at The King's School Ely. CJ Porter-Thaw, 10, and 12-year-old Patrick Aspbury, part of the pint-sized version of the Three Tenors, are set to do for church choirs what Harry Potter did for boys in glasses - make them cool. The boys' world was turned round at the beginning of the summer holidays when Universal plucked them from obscurity and whisked them off to record an album. Tony Woods, from Universal, said: "Everyone is going mad for them. HMV were blown away and are backing the boys for the number one slot. The response has been amazing." But, used to singing in front of crowds and following a hectic school schedule that includes two hours of music every day, the boys are taking it in their stride. CJ said: "Nothing has changed at school. Everyone treats us the same, it's just even busier than before - I've missed every rugby match this season." They like old choral music by long-dead composers, but forget the cassocks and surplices. The Choirboys look like a stylish boy band in their designer suits. CJ's mum Nicky said: "I think my boy is going to break a few hearts - he looks fantastic." Kitted out by a horde of stylists, CJ and Patrick now sport suits by Thomas Nash. The boys say they think it is all "cool", as was meeting Aled Jones, their co-manager who they have just performed with for his Christmas show. Patrick said: "Aled had given us lots of tips about techniques on how to perform - he went through the same thing as us - he's very cool." Robbie Williams, though, apparently isn't. CJ said: "Robbie's too old now but he used to be good. Green Day are now my favourite band." Their self-titled album, out on Monday, November 7, is mostly made up of traditional choral music such as Allegri's Miserere and Bach's Ave Maria but will also include pop oldies like Eric Clapton's Tears in Heaven and The Hollies' classic He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother. It will be released in time for Christmas on Monday, December 19

Hello Kimberly and everybody! There is a short article about the Choirboys in the October/November issue of Muso, issue 19. The article isn't available on-line, but it mentions that they are going to be managed by Aled Jones together with Steve Abbott. Steve is certainly very busy these days! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Aled seems to be involved in everything, these days!!! Now, if I was Steve, I'd be looking for a way to get Hayley and Aled somehow involved in The Choirboys' forthcoming launch, so that all three Acts could benefit from the mutual publicity... Cheers, Dave

Wow!!!! It didn't say which track would be the single so here's a bit more from Music Week today: Christmas chart contest begins 19 October 2005 - 11:54:29
Choral boy band The Choirboys and Westlife with Diana Ross are the favourites for the Christmas number one, according to HMV and William Hill. In what could prove to be one of the closest competitions in years, HMV is tipping The Choirboy’s rendition of Eric Clapton’s Tears In Heaven for the festive top slot, while bookmakers William Hill are backing Westlife’s duet with Diana Ross on When You Tell Me That You Love Me.

Gerrit, that would be great. And dave do not forget about the tv shows they are on the 26th and 27th. Hi Kimberly! The Choirboys did not appear on Loose Women today but, yesterday Ktaherine Jenkins did not appear either, as she was scheduled to. We think that both may now be shown next week. I will be recording their appearance on GMTV tomorrow... if they appear, that is! By the way, if anyone is about to post the official announcement regarding Hayley's appearance on the Il Divo Tour, that's fine but I will shortly be starting a new Board for Hayley's 2006 Schedule - most of which is the Il Divo Tour! Cheers, Dave

I was really impressed by these boys when I saw them in Piccadilly but.... I thought their album was out in November? Why have they changed it? And I think it is better that 'Tears In Heaven' is released as a single rather than 'Do you hear what I hear'. Tears In Heaven is a far stronger song. I have that song sung by the Gregorian Masters of Chant (a gregorian choir that sings modern songs, they are EXCELLENT). It is by them that my favourite rendition is sung, but the CHoirboys version is beautiful too (its difficult to get that song wrong).
