Uh, there was no Twitter back when La Luna was released. I don't even know what the equivalent would be back then. LOL I don't think the US is that much of a toss-up place to tour. I'm sure she came to Seattle for her Symphony, but I wasn't a big enough fan to try to coerce anyone to go with me. I barely knew who Mario was back then, either (the Be My Love song obviously wasn't enough to make me a fan yet). She also came for her Dreamchaser tour, not to mention the second set of US tour dates she originally scheduled for 2014! One of the venues she came to during one of those tours was the same place Josh is coming this year. So, if we got the main tour, and were going to get an extra tour (which was canceled), I have a hard time believing Seattle will get missed for her next album tour. Whether Mario comes or not is another story. If he's toured with her before, it makes me doubt that he would do a repeat. But he is an outstanding duet partner, rivaling Andrea Bocelli, but she had another guy with her last time. I watched some videos from her Dreamchaser tour in South America, which was getting me excited for what I thought was my upcoming concert 2 years ago. And since this tour relates to both Mario and Sarah, don't worry too much about going off-topic. I've already posted some of the same stuff in both threads. This is Sarah's tour, after all, but if Hayley were touring with someone else (not that that would ever happen), we'd be talking about it in the Hayley threads, too.

Uh, there was no Twitter back when La Luna was released. I don't even know what the equivalent would be back then. LOL ? This makes no sense to me. I was not talking about Twitter or any other social media in relation to La Luna nor trying to find an equivalent back in the early 2000s. What I was trying to say with La Luna is that it's an example where the album has multiple release dates throughout the world for various reasons. And the release dates are a couple months apart (versus days or a week or two) allowing Sarah to test the waters in one market, and if needed, can adjust the album for international release. Also, it allowed her to spread out the promotion through TV and magazine interviews as well as TV specials. Sarah could focus on one market at a time- do the local circuit- before the album was released in the next market. This prevents Sarah having to promote her album in like 15 markets all the same week! Which is completely impossible, even just the big markets ie Japan, USA, and UK/Europe. The reason I posted about this example is because when Sarah releases her brand new album, she may stagger the release dates throughout the markets, but past albums show no more than a 6 month gap/window from the first date and the last date of release. When I mentioned Hayley and Paradiso, I was trying to make a correlation between what Hayley's strategy in marketing/promoting Paradiso and Sarah's La Luna. While I know very well there was no such thing as social media in the early 2000s, I was trying to note that Hayley spend quality time in promoting the record in the specific market upon release. The understanding is so Hayley could be present on TV shows, special concerts for TV, do online and magazine interviews in the market that Paradiso was being released at that time. Like doing many TV spots and interviews in the summer over in Europe, and especially UK, because Paradiso came out on the market at the end of August 2011. I don't think the US is that much of a toss-up place to tour. I'm sure she came to Seattle for her Symphony, but I wasn't a big enough fan to try to coerce anyone to go with me. I barely knew who Mario was back then, either (the Be My Love song obviously wasn't enough to make me a fan yet). But he is an outstanding duet partner, rivaling Andrea Bocelli, but she had another guy with her last time. I watched some videos from her Dreamchaser tour in South America, which was getting me excited for what I thought was my upcoming concert 2 years ago. Sarah came to Everett, WA on December 14, 2008 at the Everett Events Center. I am guessing that is close to Seattle. I do not doubt that Sarah will hit Seattle or its suburbs when she tours for her brand new album next year. I also know Sarah has toured behind every brand new record she has released since Eden, and has included at least one leg in North America! So reason and past practices illustrate Sarah will tour eventually.....at the very latest, when the new record comes out. However, Sarah is right now supporting a Greatest Hits record called "Gala". And "Gala" is only going to be released in Japan. The problem is that Sarah has no album to support AND this is a limited engagement/tour since we know the brand new record is coming. How limited is the question! She has started this habit after the Symphony Tour was over. The equipment, etc from the Symphony tour was too expensive to take it to certain parts of the world, but she had a devoted fan base in certain countries. So Sarah toured with bare bone essentials, and did a set list similar to Symphony's. The first leg was in Mexico and South America. Sarah has never toured in South America until Fall 2009 to my knowledge. And this tour was a smash success! So in the Fall of 2010, Sarah tour Japan and Far East with a Greatest Hits tour before releasing "Dreamchaser" in 2013. Sarah did not tour in 2011 and 2012. Evidently, Sarah has picked this back up and will do a leg or two worth of dates for this tour before she releases her new record. That is good to know!

You said she tweeted: I'm guessing she let people know in some other way, unless you meant she tweeted in 2013 for Dreamchaser. Anyway, from what I've seen, somebody else usually tweets for her, as they usually say Sarah did this or said that. I understood all the rest of what you said before.

The Symphony World Tour was never filmed and released on DVD. The excuse we were given was the big screens used to create the different "worlds" were too hard to film. This is the first tour Sarah never filmed a show while on tour. The Symphony DVD that was released was a special one off show Sarah did in a church in Austria. It was broadcasted on PBS and then later on DVD.

Here's Mario's great write-up about the tour with Sarah Brightman (below). I finally know, he did sing one song solo, Buongiorno Principessa. He also informs us that his duet with Sarah, Carpe Diem, is included on Sarah's album, Gala. It first appeared on Mario's recent Christmas album. I enjoyed that album, but it was a little like Winter Magic, in that there were very few traditional Christmas carols that people actually know. In fact, it included songs which are not even Christmasy at all, including Smile. As I said, however, I do enjoy the album, and I would say Carpe Diem is a definite highlight. This is extremely long, so I'm guessing you'll have to click it for more. Here goes!

"Frail and strong"....hmm, that's a new combination for me! But, I know exactly what he means. Her pop voice has a thin, fragile sound to it. But then listen to her operatic soprano songs, and there's no frailty there! Chloe Agnew was described as being a fragile soprano in the review of the Seattle CW concert in 2007, and it was meant in a good way. I remember that article very well, because while he had nice things to say about Chloe, Hayley, and Mairead, overall, he did not like the concert, comparing it to something in the "Christian rite", as if that's a terrible thing. Mario is pretty good at writing. I like the way he describes everything as though he were writing a concert review! And he was, kind of, I guess, except for the fact that he was part of it. LOL Yes, Richard. It's Greek to Mario, too!
