I have tried a couple of their other songs, back when I first became obsessed with the song. Well, I always kind of liked Nights in White Satin whenever I heard it, anyway, and so when I saw the link to the video of Mario singing it, I was definitely very interested, and then when I heard it, I was really blown away and wanted to buy that DVD immediately! And I did as soon as possible! So, anyway, the one song I remember trying is one called (I think) In My Wildest Dreams... or at least the main lyrics seemed to be "once upon a time, in my wildest dreams". It was a very wistful, almost sad song to me, but it was very nice, nonetheless. I think it's one of their "later" songs? '80s, maybe?

Yes, a lot of their songs are like that. I really recommend looking for "Watching and Waiting" on You?Tube - I can't link to it because it is a commercially available recording. It is a song that will touch your soul.

At last! And Sarah Brightman's on it! From Mario's Facebook page: Here's another photo which is likely part of the album photo shoot:

The track list is available on Itunes. I must say, it's a bit lacking in the Christmas carol department, but anyway, Josh Groban is the best as far as that goes, anyway. However, I was intrigued to see the song All Creatures of Our God and King listed. I can't play the tracks unless I download Itunes, which have no need or desire for at this time. itunes.apple.com/us/album/tales-of-christmas/id1044908144?ls=1&app=itunes

Just found this posted on the Mario Frangoulis FB page. Ever since I first heard this song a couple years ago (and immediately became a fan, as you may recall), I thought it would make an amazing skating program! Little did I know that Todd Eldredge, the man who first introduced me to classical crossover music, had already skated to this 8 years ago, on the entire Stars on Ice tour! I wish I'd seen this back then, but the televised SOI shows are NOT what they used to be. And prior to this, I hadn't been to a SOI show since 10 years before, in 1998! I did go in 2010, and saw Todd there, and also 2014 and 2015, though. Anyway, I'm very pleased to have found this! Better late than never!

Mario (or whoever runs his page) has posted this on his FB page! Notice it says "first shows are in Japan". So, that could very well mean he's going to join her on tour elsewhere, too! I would dearly love to see them both live, and at the same concert would be even more amazing!!!

If he says it's "not to be missed", then you'd think they'd let everyone in the world see it. Here's his instagram post today! He says more are coming up, and I'm hoping it doesn't just mean more Japan shows. http://www.instagram.com/p/BHarAaRB17q He replied to his own post with this, as well:

So, here are some more dates, but they're in Asia. Now, I'm trying to reassure myself that of course, more Asian concerts would make the most sense after Japan, and that they'll hopefully add other countries later on. I hope! Though, I'm guessing the next dates announced will be Europe.

Mario recently sent me a friend request on FB! All I did was reply to his tour posts and beg him to come to the US with Sarah! I hope that means he will, but as I brought up in the Sarah thread, after the Asia tour, most of the rest of the year has him touring Greece with George Perris. Also, Alicia's news regarding Sarah's new album leads me to believe her next tour probably won't be until the album is released in those countries. I do wonder why it would be so long after the Japanese version, though, but who knows. Also, I worry that Mario might not be the guest tenor anywhere besides Asia. I feel like this would be my one and only chance to ever see Mario live.

I could try. After watching this incredible performance just now, I'm more desperate than ever to see them live! I love this song, it's soaring and soothing at the same time. It was one of the biggest highlights of the Andrea Bocelli concert, but Mario sounds better than him!

I feel like this would be my one and only chance to ever see Mario live. Libby, Sarah's "Gala" album that was released in Japan recently is a Japan only release to support this new tour. It is much like the half a dozen Greatest Hits records that Hayley has as Japan only releases when she tours there. As a long time fan of Sarah's this release has no new songs on it, however, casual fans could find half a dozen songs on it that are new/harder to find I guess. Depends on what you have. The album I announced in the Sarah thread is a brand new album, in the vein of Timeless according to Sarah, and that will be out some time next year. That will have all new recordings. This is why there is so much time in between the release dates. However, Sarah has on an occasion done what Hayley did with Paradiso, and spread out the release dates for promo purposes and to edited the album. For example, La Luna was released in early 2000 in Europe with 12 tracks and First of May as a bonus track. This version is more operatic in feel since it focuses on the classical pieces from that era. And like 6 months later, La Luna was internationally released (and re-released in Europe) with the standard 15 tracks and Moon River as a hidden track. Evidently, Sarah recorded a few extra "pop" tunes, and tweeted some of the classical songs before releasing the international version. Sarah did the same thing with Dreamchaser in 2013. It was released in January with 11/12 tracks in Japan, and in April the international version was released with 14 tracks. So Sarah could do this when the brand new album comes out next year. You never know.... As far as touring goes, Sarah is pretty good about touring her BIG markets in between albums. Sarah's big markets are Japan, the Far East, Mexico, and South America. So that is what is happening right now in the lull until the new album. The USA and UK/Europe are toss ups. She has not done any of these Greatest Hit tours in the USA in the last several years, so it probably is highly unlikely until the new album. I hope we will get some new dates with this tour too since it's a nice tour with a great set list! But never say never....Sarah could surprise us! And she needs to create goodwill with her fan base for cancelling in 2014 (and build interest), and this is one way! Also, she very well could bring Mario with her next year to the USA for the new album. (See mods, I'm going back on topic!! haha) In 2008, Sarah brought Mario along with her on her Symphony Tour throughout North America. Here are some videos I found on youtube:
