I've just had a look at Ticketmaster's web site, but I had to go into 'My Account' to find details of this concert which they are showing as cancelled. Their blurb says they will make every effort to contact customers in the event of cancellation, but it is up to the individual to find out themselves etc.... and take appropriate action etc.... I am definately not impressed The info provided doesn't really help either so I've asked them to tell me where to send my ticket for a refund. Their answer should be interesting! Best wishes Grant

Welcome back Stephany, we've missed you! Your best bet will be to phone the box offices at Manchester and the Royal Albert Hall. You can find the numbers by clicking on the links in my post HERE. I see all the UK venues now say the concert is cancelled, except Glasgow which says it's sold out! Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Grant, I also sent an email to the Bridgewater Hall because I thought they would contact me about the cancellation but I didn't get anything. There was an announcement on their website, though. I don't know how 'customers' are supposed to know about the cancellation if no one contact them!! Has anyone called the RAH yet ? Edit: thanks for the tip, Richard. I also missed you all! Stephany

I have just phoned the RAH Box Office who have given an immediate and full refund on my credit card account. They commented that the booking fee had been retained and, without any further prompting from me, admitted that was unfair so they have reimbursed that too.

Remember folks, you first heard about the cancellation of the UK tour here at HWI, and Steve Abbott was right all along. Richard I have to admit I was thinking that as well. Some of the snide remarks about how reliable of a source Mr. Abbott was were getting to me.

Yep, Steve A is no liar, nor was he trying to sabotage the tour like some of CW's more diehard fans might like us to believe.
The bottom line is the tour was cancelled for one reason: ticket sales TANKED. Irish music just doesn't sell well in the UK or in continental Europe, but, over here, where there are about ten times as many Irish people as there are in Ireland, they can fill any venue.
I wonder if a few folks who were bitter about this last tour are quietly snickering to themselves.

I wonder if a few folks who were bitter about this last tour are quietly snickering to themselves. Wow!!! It looks like alot has happened over the last few days since I checked in. Im not suprised though. Let me say upfront these events are nothing to be happy about for any reason. The fact is this tour was canclled not because of poor ticket sales. Claiming that its because of poor ticket sales is like saying "wet streets cause rain". They dont. Wet streets are the effect of the rain as is poor ticket sales are the effect of the intentional deception of the advertising and intentional withholding of material information from the venues, concert goers, promoters etc. Celtic Woman LTD knew 6 weeks ago as was reported here that the tour was cancelled, yet they continued to sell tickets. How many people are going to be out the "Booking Fee" or other fees that may not be refunded. And lets not forget those that may have bought airline tickets or had other expenses in association with wanting to attend a concert. I know firsthand how these people are going to feel as I was ripped off in much the same way on the US spring tour for a $500 meet and greet which didnt take place. Celtic Woman has shown beyond ANY DOUBT that they dont care about the fans enought to be honest with them. Id be courious to know how many people bought tickets in the last 6 weeks and are out mony they otherwise wouldnt be out had CW come clean 6 weeks ago at the very least. They shouldnt have pulled this in the first place. What disappoints me the most is this is not the group I came to love and adore...instead CW stands for by their management style another example of corperate greed, and deception. And the sad thing is there are people out there that think its OK for this to happen. I would rather have had them continue with the tour and at least give those that paid for tickets etc the chance to see the show. Then CW could move forward and learn from their mistakes. CW should not have called off the tour. They should have taken the loss in funds upfront to retain what fanbase they have left. For them to contiue the tour would have been better because I assure you that there are those that knew nothing of these events and they will be unhappy when they find out. Its a really sad situation. So there is nothing to be happy about here.

Hi Joyce! There's no word about a cancellation as well in Germany. Eventim.de still sells tickets and the venue (Philipshalle) in Duesseldorf still has CW on its schedule. But usually they aren't very quick so I guess it's just a matter of time until the other ticket offices and venues announce that CW concerts are cancelled. Thomas

They will be joined by New Zealand singing sensation, Hayley Westenra (the world’s best selling classical artist).

Hi everyone, yeah your right there Joyce,it is a soap opera With this Euro tour now apparently cancelled,I wonder does anybody know what is happening re an Aus/NZ tour that at one time I read somewhere,it was supposed to be around Nov/Dec. I would think with the popularity of Irish music here in NZ,I was expecting a sell out. Another popular Irish group that perform here often, and are due for another tour here anytime soon. The Irish Rovers they manage to fill just about every venue they perform in,so Irish music is a hit here in NZ,as well as Scottish music ( Just for Andrew's benefit ) i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt will be interesting to see if this tour is canned as well, cheers, Rodders CH CH NZ
