Hi everyone, Just so you know, it has just been announced by a US venue that 'Celtic Woman' will perform in Germain Arena on October 10th, 2007. As a reminder, the girls are supposed to perform in Frankfurt, Germany, on October 9th. I know that the trip is possible, but... More info on Celtic Woman forum. Stephany There's a non-stop flight from Frankfurt to make this possible at least in theory. But to realise it, it might be quite stressful. I still have the ticktes for Duesseldorf for 6th October for my sister and me. As long as I don't hear anyhing official from Celtic Woman we'll go there and see if we're the only ones waiting for the concert. Thomas

This is absurd. Thanks Richard - I have relayed the info to Steve Abbott.

I though you might, Roger! I should have mentioned that I didn't speak to anybody at the Royal Albert Hall about this. I reckon Celtic Woman's management has some serious explaining to do, and the sooner the better! Richard

Thanks for the information, Richard. I recently checked how the sales were going for Celtic Woman's Manchester concert and it appears that they have sold only one seat in the past two weeks. Having said that, according to the Bridgewater Hall's website, almost all the seats in the stalls, choir circle and circle have sold out. Stephany

Well, I'm hardly surprised when I see the amount of publicity they are getting, or rather aren't getting. They sneaked the CD out onto the market without telling anyone AFAICT, and there is no radio station that plays their music, so it isn't surprising most people in the UK don't know what they are missing. I have tickets for the Birmingham concert. I am disappointed that Hayley won't be there, but I'm sure it will still be worth going.

This is absurd. Thanks Richard - I have relayed the info to Steve Abbott. Roger I agree 100%. This is totally outragous. I sent CW a letter last week along with WGBH. I think that a copy should go to Steve Abbott as well. Its a formal consumer protection complaint letter to PBS, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting Office of Inspector General, and the Massachusetts Attorney General. If interested in reading it Ill send it to you. But I must warn you its quite long. Maybe a copy of it needs to go to the whomever is in control of the consumer protection division there in the UK.

Hi Tony,
As Hayley is not involved in this tour, then theoretically, neither is Steve. He certainly has no control over the CW management team or their promoters. However, if you would like to send me your letter by PM, I should be most interested and you never know, we may be able to put it to good use at this end.

Hello Tony and Roger! Technically Hayley and Steve are not involved with this tour, but I'm worried that the continuing lack of action by Celtic Woman's management could mean they are hoping to blame Bedlam Management for Hayley's non-appearance. Richard

Richard Yes Richard, You hit the nail on the head and that is exactly what I wrote to Roger saying last night when I sent him the letter. As I said in the closing of that letter........CW LTD will stop at nothing to deceive their supporters. And by definition they will take down anyone in their wake as a result of their actions and wont give one care in the world about it....As long as Dave K can swindle the money everyone is expendable. And that my frien is EVIL.

You make Dave K sound like a villain. I have a hard time believing that in light of the near-royal treatment we got in NYC, or should I chalk that up to Steve A only?
Still, they need to clean this up and make a priority of it. After Hayley's support of them they need to not let any mud get on her dress, expecially in her "home base" nation.

Still, they need to clean this up and make a priority of it. After Hayley's support of them they need to not let any mud get on her dress, expecially in her "home base" nation. Oh yes I had totally forgotten that Steve Abbott had all the Hayley forum members attend the party after the show that night. You all were lucky. At least I was able to give the banner that we had made up to Caite to give to Hayley. But yes Dave K is a villin IMO otherwise he would not have pulled what he did in Boston by cutting that meet and greet the way he had done. He wouldnt be deceiving people in the tour line up and allowing the success of CW to stand on its own merits not taking the supporters for a ride by not being honest etc. I can go on but you get the point. Anytime that any group or business feels its fair, right and appropriate to deceive people with outright false and fraudulent advertising, and business practices to gain sales then they are EVIL as far as I'm concerned and not worthy of the success they have been given. To lie and deceive the way Dave K and EMI has allowed tells alot about the integrity of these people. I know that most people in todays society think its OK for things like this to occur as we have seen unfold with World Com, Enron, MSO, and the thousands of other business scandals that have taken place. I for one think its pathetic and those that support these practices by defending the actions of the likes of Dave K and others who deceive are just as immoral as those that engage in this type of behavior in the first place. At least Hayley and her management see the light enough to sever ties with those that are engaged in this conduct. As a direct result I have much more respect and admiration for Hayley then I do for CW in general. Hayley has my support.............CW no longer does.

Hi Alcan1, I have every sympathy with some of your views and, obviously I am as annoyed as anyone at the misleading advertising by concert venues etc., but please take care not to go too far when making serious accusations in this public forum. Please choose your words carefully. I think you know what I mean and why. Cheers, Dave

"At least I was able to give the banner that we had made up to Caite to give to Hayley." Sorry this is a bit off topic, but wanted to thank those who contributed to paying for the banner along with myself; Beth, Maureen, Caite, Karyl, Melissa, Jan and Mark. It was very interesting in the airport with the 4-foot long box I had to carry it in from Chicago. I hope everyone enjoys the shows they attend, whoever is performing.
