Its about a 40 minutes car ride from Christchurch alot closer than the Blenheim concert.
but I decided one concert isn't enough .

Hayley Westenra and Dave Dobbyn first shared a stage in London, to a standing audience,

again in preparation for the February tour. ”

New Zealand, in Japan it is the best-selling classical album in the country’s history and the
fastest-selling classical debut in the UK – means she is unable to visit home as frequently as she
would wish. And Dobbyn’s focus will soon turn from past songs to future writing when he
heads to London in March to record his new album.

We have now purchased 2 tickets to Waipara Concert.

Just a warning for non Kiwis: Ticketek has a policy of no International posting of tickets for this one so you need a Kiwi contact.

There's no "pick up at venue" here whereas at Kerikeri & Blenheim there is.

On the map of Waipara near the top by the small lake(where the bus sign is) is where the Weka Pass Vintage Steam train operates. So before the concert you can go for a ride through a limestone valley pass the famous Frog Rock to Waikari about 12km away.It leaves Waipara at 11.30am and is back at 1.30pm or at 2pm and be back at 3.45pm in time to wait for the concert gates to open at 4pm.
