I remember i had to sign something after being interviewed, name, adress, E mailadress etc, i hope the producers will use it to keep us informed about when it is going to be released.
Greetings JOYCE.

This is exciting. Does anybody know who is making it, and where it will be shown? How will the money for the charity be made? Will it be shown internationally, or will it be another "Japanese Songs", only shown in Northern Ireland. If so, I hope there is somebody over there with a video recorder. And if there is, I think those who watch it on the web, or download it or whatever or wherever should pledge a donation to the charity. Not sure how that could be organised though!

Martin I am in Northern Ireland, so I'll be sure to keep an eye out for this documentary. If anyone finds out any information, let me know, and I should be able to record it (if its only shown in NI).

I did mean to do this some time ago..........
Fiona's rapport with the Irish audiences at Derry and Belfast was well received . Her playing in the Irish style of "fiddle playing" is amazingly Irish sounding... as not all violin players connect with the heart and soul of this music. Just playing it and living the music are two different things, Fiona brings great life to it.
Fiona mentioned that herself and Ian had come to Ireland a day early so they could go to Glencolmkille in Donegal to find Martin and Mary who had inspired her to write the tune " Memories of Martin and Mary" for the Memories of Home CD. She was delighted to tell us she had found Mary, but never said what had become of Martin. There seemed some sadness in her voice when she told us this and I meant to ask her about it after the concert but later forgot.
Here is an extract from a message from Fiona :
Hello Everyone,
After spending a lovely summer in the UK recording my new CD ‘Fire and Light’ with the City of Prague Philharmonic and performing at festivals and concert halls, I am about to head back to my beautiful home land for several months. (Sorry if this email includes a few NZ residents. I will be sending out an email soon about my upcoming NZ tour dates...)
Love X Fi

one of the most amazing aspects of this concert was the peace and serenity of the audience, I saw Hayley as a peacemaker in a place that had been so divided, the people in the audience sitting side by side in unity as humans, brought together by their admiration for something beautiful, the music which crossed all divides and took no side, one way or the other .

If I'm not mistaken I believe these two photos, taken by two different people, were taken at the same time. If you look at her pose in both they're identical and her right arm/hand has the same open fist (i think!) Thought it was nifty!!! ~Paige devotedfanxxx

Hi. definitely looks like the same pose at the same time doesn't it, amazing how in the second photo it looks as if her right leg is touching the front of her left leg yet in the side view her legs are quite apart, we need 3D camera's much love Tracy

Hi Paige and Tracy
I would go as far as to say they were taken at almost the same instant because Hayley's facial expression hasn't changed. The close up is one of Karsten's and I'm guessing the other one is from either Joyce, Comet or Paddy
Best wishes Grant

She was delighted to tell us she had found Mary, but never said what had become of Martin. There seemed some sadness in her voice when she told us this and I meant to ask her about it after the concert but later forgot. I remember Fiona telling us about Glencolumcille. It was one of the few places in the whole of County Donegal that I hadn't been to. Until recently. It's a picturesque little village nestled on the Atlantic coast. The area is the most westerly point in Donegal. Next stop, North America. The area is a Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) region, and is renowned for it's Irish college, traditional music, spectacular walks and beautiful scenery. I've been told people travel to Glencolumcille from all over the world, for it's traditional music. So, Fiona was in the best possible place when she stayed there. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to sample the music scene when I was there. It was midweek, and in low season, and not much happening on that score. I happened to mention Fiona's story to the host of our B&B, on the off-chance she might know the people, who inspired Fiona to write her tune 'Memories of Martin and Mary". I think I was hoping that they just happened to live next door, or they were relatives of hers. No such luck. But I thought I'd ask anyway, as I was in the area.
