Singing sensation Hayley Westenra will headline the musical extravaganza Killiow 2008 it has been announced.
The New Zealand-born classical artist was delighted to sign up for the five-day charity festival next September.
The event will feature a 250-strong choir with a full-sized symphony orchestra in a huge marquee in the grounds of the Killiow Country Estate near Truro.
Profits will be shared between cancer charity CLIC, the Prince's Trust and BBC Children in Need.
Organisers are over the moon at their star attraction, who will be joined by an up-and-coming male singer, who is yet to be announced.
They are also pleased that Hayley is allowing them to handpick the song list for the shows.
Committee chairman Dr Charles Moon said: "I am so thrilled that she is 100% wanting to support us.
"It is obvious with such a world class celebrity singer people will be coming from all over, not just Cornwall."
Alistair Taylor, musical and artistic director, said: "Hayley seems like a very nice person and her management team have been more than helpful."
Patron Lady Mary Holborow added: "It is very exciting that we have got someone so well-known and admired for the show."
The committee are still looking for male singers to join the choir and are hoping to sign a big comedy name for the opening night.
The marquee village, the largest ever in the country, will accommodate a concert hall, stage and orchestra.
The auditorium can seat 15,000 people over the five nights - more than the Plymouth Pavilions.
Tickets are expected to go on sale before Christmas and will be available on the website, by phone and through a box office in Truro to be announced.
Mr Moon said: "The committee are rushed off their feet dealing with different aspects of the production."
Any male singers who want to get involved should visit the website www.camelliamc.co.uk for contact information.
Two concerts will take place at the Hall for Cornwall in May in aid of the three charities, conducted by Mr Taylor.
