Hi Everyone, Just received the following email from the Melbourne Radio Station who conducted Hayley's interview:
"Dear Graeme, Part of the interview will be aired on 3MBS 103.5FM on Saturday June 9 during 'Music in Melbourne' sometime between 10-11.30am. The interview and Q&A with the audience was actually conducted by well-respected 3MBS presenter Julie Houghton. (not Heather Clark). I have CCed our recording engineer here to ask him if it's ok to make the audio available. Regards, Susan Batten Music Co-ordinator Monday - Wednesday 3MBS - 103.5FM St Euphrasia, 1 St Helier's Street The Abbotsford Convent Abbotsford Victoria 3067 Ph: (03) 9416 1035 Fax: (03) 9416 1036 " Many Thanks Susan for that info. Graeme

Hi Graeme and thanks for the info. Do you think you'll be able to record it for us? That would be fantastic! Stephany

Do you think you'll be able to record it for us? Stephany Looks like the answers "yes" Stephany. There was a fault with the listen live function so I rang the station & they very kindly fixed it. Anyone wanting to listen in for themselves just go to this site www.3mbs.org.au/ at the time quoted above at #105 & "voila". Thanks to you Stephany for a loan of the French expression. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifGraeme

Forget what I said in my previous message, I was already in bed at 11:30 after the chat Anyway, thankfully for us, Graeme was up & recorded the interview. He will introduce it better than me for obvious reasons. I just uploaded the MP3 here : Hayley at Readings (May1st 2007) MP3Over to you, Graeme

Hi Everyone, I realise that the Readings Concert is now ancient history but for those who would like to hear some of the recorded material here it is. Many thanks for all the help given me by staff of Melbournes Radio 3MBS to enable this segment of their programme to be available to us at HWI. Thanks also to Stephany for instantly hosting the Mp3. (14.4 mins. duration & 13.4 Mb in size) It contains the Interview itself plus Shenandoah sung live at Readings. Scarborough Fair is as per CD. (not the vocalisation version) The Question & Answer session was not Broadcast. Download & Enjoy, Hayley at Readings (May1st 2007) MP3Graeme PS. I forgot to mention yesterday that Julie Horton ,in her interview, paid Hayley a huge compliment for the way she arranged & sang One Fine Day....well worth listening to.

I just listened to the Readings interview once again...I'm not sure I understood it right but I noticed Hayley said she would probably remain in the UK until Christmas. She possibly didn't know yet about the NZ/Australian CW tour?! Stephany

Do we know for sure that Hayley will participate in these (or any) future CW tours? Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave Hi Dave, It hasn't been officially confirmed yet, but Mr John Flanagan from the CW management said Hayley would participate to the Australian/NZ tour so I see no reason not to believe him. He didn't say anything about the European tour though. Stephany

Hi Galvin & welcome to the forum. Readings turned out to be the only venue in Australia offering a live mini concert. I tried the TV interview venues in Sydney...no go. I ended up driving down from here (Southern tip of Lake Illawarra) by myself. 835 kms each way. My wife was in Germany. Very good road however & I was able to book into a motel just around the corner from Readings. 9 hours drive including watering stops. I was tired (eyes in particular) when I got there. I had booked my place about 2 weeks ahead even tho the event had no charge attached to it. Just fuel & motel in my case. Graemek PS And yes Galvin, she's spectacularly beautiful. So she has voice, looks, character, warmth all of which can be easily described as "beautiful".
