Dori Hi Dori I don't think Hayley generally opens her cards when they are given to her, it would take up too much time. No doubt she looks at them on her journey home or when she gets home so she can fully appreciate them. Best wishes Grant

Hi Dori & Grant, I actually asked Hayley to read the card (to herself) so that Marianne could share the moment. I just thought I'd maximize the following to show mostly complete face shots as a lot of photographers seem to prefer them. In these 2 shots Hayley shows off her very lovely profile. Note her ears....or didn't you notice? ...No the photos are not identical... In some cases I've gone to the maximum size that I'd set the camera up for ie. 5Mp (the camera Eric is a Panasonic Dmc fz30...latest model currently is fz50....).....the largest size of pics it can produce is 8Mp....

This one is off focus but still reasonable. Note her ear is covered in this. I love the preoccupied concentration in this one. There's never a hint of self consciousness in her photos (or vanity). Serenity is the word that comes to mind.

Neither are these 2 identical. I love them both....the quintessential Hayley. Are her eyes more powerful in this lower one ?

What can I say? Gorgeous maybe? Gasp? Thats about it I think, & many many thanks Hayley for the magnificent performance, the Scarborough Fair with its awesome vocalization and allowing me to photograph such a lovely subject. Graeme

Graeme Hi Graeme, Thank you very much for sharing those wonderful pictures. Just when I start to think "she can't be prettier than she already is", you prove me wrong each time with another lovely picture. Many thanks again for these fabulous shoots. Love, Stephany

I've resized the photo I quoted above to 800 pixels wide as the 888 you posted it at is too wide for most people's screens and it messes up the forum formatting. Oh, while I remember, a message for everyone: don't forget to check the file sizes of posted photos - 100 KB is usually more than enough for most photos (except text scans) and a series of bigger files can take for ever to load if you are using dial-up! .jpg compression is your friend! Cheers, Dave

Wonderful, wonderful pictures Graeme!! Hayley is such a sweetie-pie. Din't you just want to take her in your arms and give her a hug?
So, so beautiful.
And welcome home Marianne, hope you enjoyed your holiday but you have been missed!
Best wishes Grant

Hi Eric, Yes, she's a sweetheart alright...now back to less interesting topics. This is a very good article on the fz50. www.letsgodigital.org/en/9107/panasonic_lumix_fz50/You can get revues for similar cameras too. What I like about mine is the one only multi element Leica lens. No lens changes makes it quicker to use the camera...also no dirt enters the camera with usage. Controls range from all auto to all manual. Either aperture biased or speed biased. I love it. Also love the anti - shake gyroscopic gadget. A subject like Hayley is very much pro - shake unfortuneately. Shackling yourself to a block of concrete helps to restore calm. Graeme

Once I can regain my composure, I will research the matter further. Eric P.S. I wonder how it would work in quiet areas (i.e. is it loud?).

The camera Eric or the block of concrete?
The camera is adjustable to give a shutter click or nothing at all.
Nothing at all is pretty well that. Very quiet. wouldn't disturb a congregation in silent prayer.

Eric, I also have a Panasonic (ok, not as good as Graeme's, it's the DMC-FX30) and it's very, very good. Never been disappointed by it ! Back to topic, Graeme, once again thank you for the high-quality pictures, I sincerely love them!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
