WOW!!! That looks amazing!!! Hayley didn't open my card when i gave it to her!! Then again, i think we had a bigger crowd..... Dori Hi Dori I don't think Hayley generally opens her cards when they are given to her, it would take up too much time. No doubt she looks at them on her journey home or when she gets home so she can fully appreciate them. Best wishes Grant Oh, yes. She does read them. When I dropped my Christmas card for her into the stage door ahead of her last performance before going home for Christmas and I caught her eye across the crowd afterwards to check she had received my card, she nodded, then, catching me as I turned to go, peering round the heads between us, 'So its Christchurch in September?' I nodded and her face broadened into a grin and both hands gave the thumbs up. She'd read it while killing time backstage. Now its January or April or in between but that in fact should put me actually able to make it. Peter S.

I have consulted with a few time & motion study experts (well one anyhow) & the view is that over time many pens will not be used up & precious minutes saved by merely dropping one little "e". In fact Hayley will be able to retire at least 1hour earlier than she would otherwise have been able to if she didn't. So there you are !!!! Graemek Interesting observation Graemek. As long as she doesn't reduce the number of "x" s ! Martin

Thank you Stephany and Graeme for the camera tips. It does look like a good setup (esp. with no detachable lense, silent shot, and a digital review of what you took afterwards). I will definitely look into this more, as I was first considering a DSLR...but this seems to be a bit more suitable for me (I have no clue where to begin with photography but would love to start). Is the concrete block included? Ok...staying on topic....Hayley of course drops the latter "e" to conserve. She loves anything green and I'm not exactly sure how pens and markers are made, but I'm sure somewhere down the line, a tree will be saved one day for her conscious efforts. Then again, all those paper products she is signing on doesn't exactly convey that same message. And for the life of us all, she is NOT allowed to drop the number of "x" s !! It is one of those small things that keeps us going. Eric

Hi Eric, I love that camera.....it's size is necessary to provide a mount for the very large aperture lens....performs well in low light conditions. If you bought it thru mail order you'd find the optional accessory concrete block & shackle very dear to mail....beware. Graeme PS I had it with me at Readings & that was the first time I'd used the video capability seriously apart from practice the week before so's i'd be used to it & wouldn't make mistakes......

Hi Graeme, I thought the video was exceptional -- serious practice or not. 'Course, we could've used that "Hey to HWI" bit too... (only kidding!!! - You really need not feel bad about any of that. Her message was delivered effectively, IMO). You seem to know what you are doing with the camera. It seems to me that the best method of learning the proper techniques and what settings to use is a lot of "trial-and-error". And what better way, than the subject of Hayley (maybe at a signing, even)? With that, I leave fully on topic. Eric

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the scan, it's so great to see your name next to Hayley's face So, tell us, how many CDs and DVDs did she sign for you & Marianne ?! Love, Stephany Hi Stephany, Yes, Hayley didn't want to put black texta on her face (cover) so chose to write on the darker areas instead. I think that was so as not to mess up the look of the CD cover. The "Graeme" did that anyhow !! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifNo. Signed: I think it was 5....I had all of ours with me but decided I was hogging her to get her to sign the lot. I did hog her somewhat anyhow Graeme

Hi Dori & Grant, I actually asked Hayley to read the card (to herself) so that Marianne could share the moment. I just thought I'd maximize the following to show mostly complete face shots as a lot of photographers seem to prefer them. In these 2 shots Hayley shows off her very lovely profile. Note her ears....or didn't you notice? ...No the photos are not identical... In some cases I've gone to the maximum size that I'd set the camera up for ie. 5Mp (the camera Eric is a Panasonic Dmc fz30...latest model currently is fz50....).....the largest size of pics it can produce is 8Mp.... Hi Graeme, Your photos are magnificent....these 2 are my favorites...signing our CDs ( well she did!). Thank you for sharing them !!! Lots of love, Marianne

Its just a shame that Marianne wasnt able to join you Best regards Mark Mark, I'm sure she will be the first in line next time Hayley comes to Australia. MARIANNE, WE MISS YOU !!! Hi Stephany, Thank you so much for missing me...I missed my computer so much and therefore my HWI !!! Just the same I had the most wonderful time with my mum and my brothers. My mum absolutely excelled at looking after me. She is the best ! My brother Wolfgang could only stay 2 days with us, which made me very sad. I am now happy to be home again though. I did miss my family here of course. Pics to follow soon. Love, Marianne

I knew you would have the best of times, even without me being there...lol ! And now we can both look forward to Hayley's concerts in Australia and New Zealand towards the end of the year...yeah !!! Lots of love, Marianne

Yes, Graeme did magnificently with his report & pictures. Now, I wonder if this 3MBS interview with Heather Clarke will be available one day?

I just rang the man who was sitting next to me at the Readings Concert &, unfortunately, he wasn't able to record that interview on radio 3MBS. But I gave him the URL's of Readings Concert, the Scarb. F. .wmv & the Herald Sun thread URL. Meantime, I'll give the Radio Station a ring. Graeme
