Hi Grant
We’ve logged on – we said we would!!
What a smashing report (thanks for the mention), glad you got to meet up with her in the end! Great pictures too. We were really sad that we had to leave without meeting Hayley, to tell her what a fantastic night we had, and that we couldn't show her our video of our daughter playing “The Waters Wide”, but having a 6 year old at home waiting for us made it a little difficult to stay. Thank you so much for trying to arrange it for us though.
It was very nice talking to you, especially whilst we sheltered from the rain!! (What a down pour it was!) We have waited a long time to see Hayley so it was nice to hear about her, her past performances and also about HWI, you started the day off for us really well!
You were right Grant – Hayley was fantastic. We have both been to many concerts to see some top artists, but we both said that Hayley is the most naturally gifted performer we have seen. She doesn’t have to strain to hit the high notes, just pure class. And she appears to be a very nice young lady with it. It was nice to hear that she was concerned about the lady who fell ill, and that she went to see for herself, that the lady was ok. That was a nice touch.
We both had such a lovely night (Andy still hasn’t come down to earth yet!) We will definitely be booking to see her again in the near future, and with luck, we will bring our daughter along, as she is a bit of a Hayley fan (she was a bit sad that we couldn’t get an autograph for her – maybe next time!)
Thanks again and best wishes from two new members!
Vicki & Andy

Fantastic to hear from you both and so glad you have decided to join us, especially as I had something to do with it! You won't regret joining, there's a fantastic group of people here and I'm sure you will make friends very quickly.
A bit ironic though, isn't it? That whilst you were waiting patiently with me, Hayley was up in the grandstand with the lady who was ill! In a way, I'm glad we didn't know, because I think we would have been tempted to go find her and I don't think it would have been the right ocassion.
Thinking about it now, and you saying you intend to take your daughter with you, when you do meet her, Hayley just adores children and will certainly make a fuss of her, especially when you show her the video. Remember, it is not a question of "if" you get to meet Hayley, it's just a matter of "when"!!
Oh and one last thing
Welcome to the Forum!!
Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant. Thought I might stop by after speaking to you at the concert - I've been reading this forum for a while now - but had never posted! You did very well to get your photos - my camera was struggling for enough light to take any pictures! Thanks for sharing yours. The concert was brilliant - and it was nice to see Micha make an appearance. The weather didn't even manage to spoil our picnic - well at least not once we had wrung out our sandwiches! I might have waited with you to meet Hayley - but I was a little anxious to get my car off the grass before everyone went home and there was no-one let to give me a shove to get out - thankfully I didn't need it it in the end! I did meet Hayley a while back when she performed at The Lowry and I would love to meet her again. I did at least manage to make off with a signed poster of Hayley and one of Fiona's CDs. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifVery nice to meet you, and only too happy to lend a little support to this wonderful forum. Best regards, Robert

Hi Vicki, Andy & Robert May I also wish you a very warm welcome to our forum. As mentioned, anything you want to know about Hayley, you will find here. We really are a very friendly bunch of people and I very much look forward to your future posts. I'm sure Hayley would be delighted if you were to bring your daughter along Vicki & Andy. My youngest daughter was only 10 (now 13) when she first went to a Hayley concert - if I remember correctly, she didn't move throughout the performance If your daughter is already a bit of a Hayley fan, although she is younger, I'm am sure she would most likely be spellbound !! If you are planning to bring her, may I suggest you consider one of the smaller (church type) venues, as these are usually Hayley only concerts, they are perhaps shorter and are much more relaxed and Hayley will just about always be around to meet the audience after the show. I look forward to your future posts and to hopefully meeting you at a Hayley concert soon. Here is a pic of Hayley with my daughter Sophie, taken at Telford in June. Best regards Mark

No two ways about it, Grant is Hayley's No.1 concert reviewer ! We already have our official photographers so it seems we now have our official reporter as well ! Well done Grant, it was just like being there, which is how a great report should make us feel !
