Hi Grant, Thanks for this, i hope i get tickets for this event again, it was really great last year. So different hearing Hayley in the open air than in a concert hall. Also so good that shes doing some more concerts in this area of the country! Danny

Thanks for the info, Grant
This is going to be an expensive summer! This is on a Tuesday. Last years event was at the weekend I think. Does this mean it is not an all day event, complete with the invasion of the Gazebos! Don't know, but we have our own portable Gazebo now for events like this!

Hi Richard, Sorry to hear you will not be going to this event, but I expect you will have a lot of other trips planned, do you think you will be able to make Chichester? I hope so Steve H

Thanks for your good wishes Richard.
I have 5 concerts lined up so far this year, one of which is Cadogan Hall on 9th April and it appears that Roger, you and I will be sitting together.
See you then if not before!
Grant

Hi George
Although this is a mid-week concert, I'm sure the house will be open as normal and therefore there should be no problem with partying the afternoon away!
I'm particularly looking forward to the sound check this year as I now have a Digital SLR and a very powerful zoom lens!

Hi Grant Thanks for the reminder (I hadn't noticed it on the website schedule). I would recommend this venue to anyone after last year's experience. It is in a wonderful country house setting and everyone is relatively close to the stage despite there being seating for over 1000 ticket holders. The really keen followers (i.e Forum members!) would look to book early in order to get one of the very limited lawn seats (as opposed to a covered grandstand seat). However, as experienced last year if it rains there is no place to hide although Grant and others had the consolation of Hayley taking sympathy on them! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Well done Grant reaching Maestro membership - you are now a "masterly performer" (as defined in the Oxford dictionary). Best Wishes Martin

Hi Martin
Just to clarify a couple of points in your last post. ALL tickets are for unreserved seating. The house opens at 2pm (start queuing about 1pm!!) then there is a mad rush to "reserve" seats.
If last year is anything to go by, "The House" reserves some seats for regular patrons.
The lawn is usually a free for all but for Hayley's concert, I'm led to believe that demand was so high that lawn space was sold as well using a different colour ticket.
My guess is that this year demand will be equally high bearing in mind the number of people shouting "come back next year!!" as Hayley left the stage!

Hi Grant! Keep on doing the good work! Thomas Thank you Thomas - I'm happy someone noticed!! See you soon and enjoy your trip to New Zealand Best wishes Grant Oh Grant. I am so sorry I'm late. I still remember clearly our first meeting at Gawsworth Hall when I was trying to gather some scraps of food in a marquee and we discovered our mutula love of railways and of amateur theatricals--and you had kept a place for me right in the front row. Congratulations on 500 posts. Peter S.
