Time for a full listing of all 64 Il Divo concerts, courtesy of www.ildivo.com/Gerrit, thank you for the comprehensive listing! I should like to add some observations here, about the North American concert tour of IL DIVO, featuring Hayley as the opening act. Firstly, my husband and I get the Sunday edition of the New York Times every weekend, and I wanted to tell everybody that in last week's edition (Sunday, 4th December) the entertainment section of that newspaper had an IL DIVO ad in which it showed that the Friday evening show at Radio City Music Hall (10th February) is SOLD OUT!!! Only the Saturday show (11th February) at Radio City continues to have some seats available. So... Gerrit, maybe you should ADD the red-lettering SOLD OUT to the 10th February show listed for New York City! Secondly, I recently perused the website of Toronto's Air Canada Centre, and on that venue's own website, they state that the IL DIVO show at Air Canada Centre (6th February) will feature Hayley Westenra as the opening act. So... although it may not yet have been "officially" announced by HayleyWestenra.COM that Hayley will be appearing in Toronto... it DOES seem that Air Canada Centre **IS** announcing that she shall be there! I cannot speak for the Bell Centre (in Montreal) or for the Fallsview Casino Resort Hotel (in Niagara Falls, Ontario) -- but, if I notice anything on those venue's websites, I will eventually come back here and report it!

Hi Susan and Meagan, The last we heard was that Hayley's part in the Il Divo tour was "being planned" but not yet confirmed. Therefore we cannot guarantee that she will be at all venues. As soon as we have any confirmation, we will post it here. Roger Thanks, Roger! Now, as an aside, I just received the following html email from ClearChannels ticket agency, in my electronic mailbox, as they have me profiled as someone who might be willing to travel to Philadelphia, PA to see a concert. I hope that this JPG image shows up here below in this post. I shall try and reproduce it here, for all of you to see. What is so very exciting about this poster image is the fact that it clearly says "with special guest Hayley Westenra."

I did take a look at the Vancouver Civic Theatres website...Hayley no longer appears on their March 2006 listing. Also, Hayley's appearance in Toronto's Massey Hall has been removed from their listings for March 11. ALL other performances (see my signature below) for Hayley in the US and Canada 2006 are still on, as far as we know. Hi, Joe! I'm not sure whether those other US and Canadian dates are still valid or not!! All I can tell you is that as of today (November 8th) IL DIVO have just newly posted a list of 2006 performances in the US and Canada on their official website! This is what the IL DIVO website listing says: 31st Jan USA Wallingford, CT Chevrolet Theatre 2nd Feb USA Boston, MA The Wang Theatre 3rd Feb USA Washington, DC DAR Constitution Hall 4th Feb USA Atlantic City, NJ Borgata Hotel 6th Feb Canada Toronto Air Canada Center 8th Feb Canada Montreal Bell Center 10th Feb USA New York, NY Radio City Music Hall 12th Feb USA Philadelphia, PA The Kimmel Center 14th Feb Canada Niagara Falls, ONT Fallsview Casino Resort (There are **more** dates, but I have only reproduced the ones for the Northeastern part of the US and Canada!) See the IL DIVO website for the mid-west and the west.QUESTION: Does anyone here know if "for sure" Hayley will be accompanying IL DIVO in every American or Canadian city on the above-cited tour?
The IL DIVO website just listed the cities. It didn't specifically say whether Hayley will be with them, or not.

Look for Hayley performing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 25th. She will be singing "Beat of Your Heart." Okay! I just got done (several minutes ago) watching Hayley perform on the NBC network's airing of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She looked really adorable, and I could not tell whether or not she was lip-synch-ing, but I can just say one thing... NBC television should hang its head in shame! Because... they shifted the TV cameras back to the host and hostess WHILE HAYLEY WAS STILL SINGING!!! And, the audio controller at the studio shifted the audio sound back to the microphones of the host and hostess, who started TALKING loudly about the NEXT float coming up on the parade route. In other words, the network basically "cut Hayley off" right in the middle of her performance. The only people who had an opportunity to hear the entire song (Beat of Your Heart) were the folks who were there in person, standing on the sidewalk. In fact, we TV-watchers didn't even get a chance to hear the beginning of the song, either. The NBC studio cut to Hayley performing the song, about 45 seconds or maybe one minute after she had apparently started doing it. And, then they abandonned her performance, before she was even done! So, the television audience just got a "snippet" of Hayley. I'm really annoyed at NBC. Several minutes later, they treated Andrea Bocelli with much greater respect.

Here's the upcoming USA/Canada tour dates for Il Divo...whether Hayley accompanies the group to North America remains to be seen. Hayley is slated to commence her own (rescheduled) NA tour in Feb/Mar. Joe!!!!!!!!! I cannot speak for other venues, but please look at a copy of a html poster image which I received today in my email: It clearly states that Hayley Westenra will be the special guest of IL DIVO on February 12th in Philadelphia! It also tells of an Internet presale and of which special password to use, to access the presale. Unfortunately, the actual hyperlink for purchasing tickets does not function inside the reproduced JPG image here.

So... Hayley sang last night at Carnegie Hall, yes? Who amongst you (out there in cyberspace) had the good fortune to go? I was not so lucky as to be able to attend, but I am looking forward to experiencing the concert vicariously through your reports! How did the audience respond to Hayley's performance? I'll bet that they were swept away by the awesome range of her voice! Did Hayley receive any standing ovation? She certainly would deserve such a reception. So... do tell! The rest of us would love to hear all about it. (Meanwhile... waiting quite impatiently for November to arrive, so that people in the USA can watch Hayley in the Great Performances concert which is slated to be broadcast on our PBS network.)

First off, can anyone here confirm the fact that ALL of Hayley's dates in the USA during the month of December are with the Boston Pops Holiday Tour? If so, this means that Hayley is performing as a guest artist with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. This also means that she would probably be limited to appearing for only about two or three songs. That is how much a guest vocalist with the Boston Pops generally is allotted. Can anyone here confirm this assumption? I'm thinking of possibly trying to attend the December 19th performance in Worcester, Massachusetts. But, I'm not sure yet.
Secondly, I am writing to inquire whether anyone here is planning on attending Hayley's appearance with the NEW YORK Pops, at Carnegie Hall, on Friday, October 22nd? I myself would love to attend, but I cannot, due to a conflict. (For all I know, the tickets might already be sold out, in any case?)
I'm just wondering... who on this board is lucky enough to be going there? Joe, are you? Natasha, are you? Anyone else here live close to New York City?
Whoever goes... please, please... give us all a first-hand report!!! We are "https://i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifying" to experience it vicariously, through you!

Too bad that we live in the Northeast, and not in Wisconsin! Does anyone know whether or not the WPT station might consider marketing and selling either a VHS videotape or a DVD of the Concert on the Square? Oooooooo... what I wouldn't give to own a copy of that! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I'll bet that it was really, really wonderful! Hey... is there ANYONE at all reading these boards who lives out there in Wisconsin? Hello?

Hi, Joe! Thanks for the above information. I have some extra details to add to what you have said. The "host" TV station which originates the PBS series known as Great Performances is WNET (Channel 13) in New York City. Other PBS affiliate stations around the country may or may not air the broadcast at precisely the same time that WNET does. In fact, *some* local PBS stations may choose not to air the broadcast at all! That is why each viewer needs to check with his/her local PBS station to find out when/if they shall be airing this. However, that being said... those of you who live close enough to New York City to tune-in to the original broadcast directly from WNET will happily be able to see this show on Thursday evening, December 2, at 8PM (broadcast channel 13). The programme is scheduled to run for 90 minutes -- I checked the WNET website online, and it shows that it shall start at 8PM and end at 9:30 PM. If you live outside the WNET broadcast area, and wish to query your local PBS station about this show... please tell them that it is designated as Programme #2916 in the GREAT PERFORMANCES series, and it is entitled "Hayley Westenra: Live from New Zealand." Strangely enough, as soon as Hayley's show ends at 9:30 PM on December 2nd, another "classical crossover" type of musical show begins. WNET plans to air "GREAT PERFORMANCES: Josh Groban Live at the Greek" for two hours (9:30 PM to 11:30 PM) immediately following the airing of Hayley's show.

I've contacted Wisconsin Public TV about her recent concert. They didn't have plans to release the concert on video but they said the possibility does exist. Hi, Joe! Thanks for answering. I'm wondering if the Wisconsin Public TV folks might be "persuaded" to provide their master video recording of the Concert on the Square to Channel 13 in New York City which is the national distributor for a number of nationwide PBS programs such as the GREAT PERFORMANCES series. I have seen *other* lesser-known community orchestras featured on GREAT PERFORMANCES in the past, and I see no reason why the Madison, Wisconsin orchestra concert of July 28th could not be featured equally as well. Gosh, it would be so WONDERFUL if the concert given in Madison could be beamed nationwide to ALL of the PBS affiliates during the PBS pledge drives! I cannot understand why WPT wouldn't try to contact their "parent" organization (PBS) and request that the chief executives at least view and evaluate the program. Because, that way, we wouldn't need them to sell a videotape of the performance. We could all just watch it on our local PBS station, and record it (from the broadcast), if we like. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi, Joe! (and, hi, Keith!)
Thanks, guys, for the hearty welcome! Joe... I see that you are likewise based in the USA. It seems that there aren't too many of us "Yanks" around here on this website. I'm in (upstate) New York State, and you are in Pennsylvania? Hmmm... neighbors (almost).
Yes... I am well aware of the fact that there are two other commercially available albums by Hayley which came out before her album PURE. In fact, I did order her album entitled "HAYLEY WESTENRA" directly from Amazon, back in the month of May (2004).
Her voice is better (more mature) on PURE than it was on her self-titled CD, but nevertheless her self-titled CD was absolutely terrific! I loved the songs on it which she sang from Phantom of the Opera, from West Side Story, and from Les Miserables! Frankly, I'd like to see her re-release a NEW album of Broadway show tunes, wherein she might re-record many of the songs she originally sang at the age of 13 or 14.
I also managed to download the small audio clip of Hayley singing a segment of Con Te Partira (Time to Say Goodbye). Her voice is EXQUISITE on that one, in spite of the fact that she must have been very, very young when she recorded it! I understand that Hayley singing CTP is presently not commercially available on any CD? I wish that she would re-release that one too! Especially, since she is now apparently singing that song at the close of the Bocelli concerts at which she makes a guest appearance in Australia!
As for the Christmas album (My Gift to You)... sorry... Christmas music just has really never especially appealed to me, as I'm not a follower of that faith. Still, I can appreciate why others might like it.

Why not post and tell us a little about yourself? Something like: 1) where you are from 2) When did you first hear about Hayley and how? 3) what your thoughts and feelings about Hayley are. Anything like that would be great. Keith Hi, to all Hayley fans! I'm the newest member of the board (as of now). Member #56, that is. I'm happy to be here with all 55 of you! Just wishing... wishing... wishing... that there were MORE of us!! Any thoughts on how to get more people in here? I think that Hayley has the MOST gorgeous voice I have ever heard in my life. She's even better than Sarah Brightman! My husband LOVES Hayley, also, and we cannot wait until her PBS program special hits the airwaves here in the USA, in November and/or December! I hope that a DVD will be made of her PBS special, because I would certainly like to own something like that! I think that Hayley is the FEMALE equivalent of Josh Groban, and I would sooooooo love to hear the two of them duet on a song sometime in the future. I like the sound of Groban's timbre even better than that of Andrea Bocelli. (I know that Hayley has sung duets with Bocelli, but with Groban -- I think -- it could be even BETTER!) I first discovered Hayley in late March 2004, when I went to our local Barnes & Noble Booksellers, and I saw her "promo" sampler CD being offered in their music department. I took it home, not really expecting anything "great," but giving it a listen really did knock my socks off. She sang Pokarekare Ana and Who Painted the Moon Black (they only gave two songs on the sample CD). Right away, I just **knew** that as soon as her album PURE hit the store shelves here in the USA on April 6, 2004 -- I just HAD to run out and get it. I've been listening to PURE every day since then, and I never tire of it. My favorite tracks are: Never Say Goodbye River of Dreams Beat of Your Heart Dark Waltz Heaven *** I'm really glad to be here! ***

I am very saddened by the news of Keith's passing. I never knew Keith as well as many of you did, and geography (i.e., the separation caused by a vast ocean between our countries) probably would have prevented our ever meeting, but still...
The little that I knew of him was of a person with a very generous heart, and an exceptionally kind soul. He welcomed me in a very friendly way when I first registered for this message board. Earlier this year, when through some computer snafu (some kind of updating at ProBoards), I suddenly found that I could no longer log-on successfully... it was Keith who went above-and-beyond what most forum administrators would do, in order to assist me with establishing a brand-new password, and in figuring out how to revalidate my registration.
His passion for excellent music and for outstanding artistry was certainly contagious. I have learned so much about Hayley, as well as about many other new vocalists, as a result of reading this website, and all of this would not have been possible had it not been for Keith's tireless devotion to maintaining the excellence of this site.
My heartfelt condolences go out to Keith's best friend, Bill. I am deeply sorry for your loss. May it bring you some degree of comfort to consider the words of a song which appears on the newest Katherine Jenkins album (I'm sure that Keith would heartily approve of these words):
DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep, I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glint on snow. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there - I did not die. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain, When you awake in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, Of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there - I did not die.
