Hi everyone I think the customs charges are basically the luck of the draw (or the lack of it . I guess the size and shape of my parcel may have helped to single it out - though has anyone else received the poster as well? However, the music is what's important, and I think this is a delightful album, possibly Hayley's most personal to date. And perhaps best of all - which was brought up earlier - is that Hayley dedicates the album to her mother Jill. When we discovered it was themed on motherhood I guess that's kind of something we all really knew she would do. Kind regards Colin

Hi everyone I managed to collect my HSJS2 discs from Parcelforce this lunchtime.... On top of the $90 (I guess about £65) for the two CDs and shipping, there was a further £20.22 charge from customs; this was made up of £6.72 VAT and an astonishing £13.50 "handling charge" by Parcelforce. Had I waited for the paper work to take its full course then I don't think I would have got them much before the middle of next week, hence my collecting them in person from the local depot. All in all, HSJS2 came in for me and my friends at over £40 each Perhaps I won't use EMS again... Now the good news... The disks came with a poster of the front cover which was unexpected - the package was about two foot long for two CDs! Perhaps that's what caught customs' attention! I like the CD - it's Hayley, so I was bound to - but I'll wait for other people to get their copies before discussing it in any detail. Kind regards Colin

Hi Graeme, Dean & Maya I'm pleased you're all enjoying the new album - it's whetting my appetite I bought a copy for friends as well - over $90 for the two including delivery - and they've been "released from customs with a charge" I really hope it's as good as you say Kind regards Colin

Don't shoot the messenger, but... I think this is referring to the first HSJS album going gold in Taiwan. The message on the official site reads: Hayley is very excited to be back touring and working on the release of her latest Japanese album, 'Hayley Sings Japanese Songs 2'
We are also thrilled to announce that Hayley's album 'Hayley Sings Japanese Songs' has gone gold in Taiwan . Congratulations Hayley! But it is still very good news Kind regards Colin

Hi everyone, Lee Mead's "Nothing Else Matters" album is already available at Itunes. I bought the track "When The Stars Go Blue" the duet with Hayley! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes, Paulo Correia Thanks for letting us know, Paulo. I've bought and downloaded the song as well. It's very pop-py - I could see this being released and doing quite well as a single. Kind regards Colin

1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?Hayley Sings Japanese Songs by a whisker from both Treasure and Pure tying in second place. 2. And do you have a favourite song? This is even more difficult. Listen to the Wind probably edges it from Never Saw Blue, I Believe and Let Me Lie, though I could probably produce a list of 50 songs that I would find it difficult to choose between 3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?River of Dreams - it's the most recent one! And I especially like the song list on this tour, though the most memorable single concert for me was Buxton just before Hayley's 21st. 4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?All promotional items, but a new DVD and a live CD would be my top choices. Kind regards Colin

Hi Roger Thanks for finding out about that. I've not been able to scan a readable copy of this article at forum sizes, so for those interested I've got a 1MB download version of it here: public.me.com/crhumphrey/HayleyIt's the file called Hayley_20090302.jpg and can be downloaded the same way as the music files. Kind regards Colin

Hi everyone The Daily Echo here in Southampton had an interview between Lorelei Reddin and Hayley. While most of it is the normal fare that most people here will know, there are two or three things that were new to me and I think will be of interest generally. The first is that Hayley mentions she has a cold Those of us at the Bournemouth concert on Wednesday can confirm this as we were told and she only had time for some brief "hello's" before heading off. The second is, and I'll quote from the paper: I'll be doing an all new album next year, which I'm really looking forward to. So it would seem that the new international album is still some way off. At this point I was beginning to think that the interview must have been from the end of last year, until at the end Hayley is asked, "What's next for you?", to which she replies: After the tour I'm going to Japan and Canada. There should be more touring around the new album release. That's enough to keep me going for now! (Italics mine). I mentioned Canada to Roger at Bournemouth and it was news to him too. Of course, the paper may have got it wrong (though it seems difficult to mistake Canada with New Zealand!) I will try to get the interview scanned in - it comes with the picture of Hayley from the original UK Treasure CD - but I haven't had time to do so yet. Kind regards Colin

Hi Comet
I echo Grant's sentiments. I love the "completely enchanted mode" phrase. It's an awesome and humbling experience when you hear someone so good and realise you're in the presence of greatness. And it's weird how it seems she's singing just for you...
I'm glad you had such a great evening - I'm seeing her at Bournemouth tonight so I hope to share your experiences.
Kind regards
Colin

Hi everyone
Have woken up to beautiful sunshine here in Southampton, just 20 miles or so along the coast from Bournemouth. And according to the BBC the forecast for Bournemouth this evening at least looks as though it will be dry when we go into the concert, if a little on the chilly side.
I hope to meet some people at the concert and wish all fellow concert-goers a great time tonight.
Kind regards
Colin

Hi Libby Thanks for that link. I see also on the site that eight of the 10 English-lyric songs are credited as "English Lyric: Hayley Westenra" - which I think is very exciting news indeed. Kind regards Colin

In my local Sainsbury's the original 13-track version of Pure is on sale at £3...
I'm not sure how CD revenues are split, but apart from pushing it up the charts I wouldn't have thought at that price that it would be doing much benefit for Hayley. When CDs are discounted this much, does anyone know who is taking the hit?
Regards
Colin

Hi everyone
Thanks for the help on the Valentines Tour tracklisting.
I've checked the Reading concert and Jonathan didn't sing If You're Not the One there. After Aranjuez he speaks about the song his future mother-in-law asked him to sing which was Be My Love. Thanks to Richard and Cathy for their extra details on the Palladium and Bristol concerts.
Hopefully, the listing above is now complete and correct.
Many thanks to everybody

Hi Chelle, Marian & Roger
I have listened again and it sounds like they indroduce the first piece of the second half as "Jealousy". I'm not sure if it's on their CD, can anyone who has it confirm whether there is a track called this on it?
Many thanks
Colin

Thanks Roger - I've included your amendments now.
I'm not sure about number 12 - I'll try and pick it up again.
