Hello Libby! I've noticed most of the Classic FM presenters put a stress on the last syllable of 'Westenra'. The easiest way to pronounce it correctly is to remember that it scans with 'orchestra'. Richard Not much crossover between Dracula fans and Classic FM presenters, it would seem!

Thanks Dave & Richard & Grant & Jillian. Hayley stole the show again just by being her cute self. I still am swept away by her stage presence.....unbelievable... Graeme. PS We've had a flat panel HDD TV for a few weeks now & I'm so impressed with its capabilities. As soon as I'd downloaded Daves video I took it down to our TV in a thumbdrive & played it fullscreen....FANTASTIC !!! I'm yet to find a video format that it doesn't detect.

Here is a scan of the picture and text from Hello Magazine No 1124 Special Edition May 2010 Camilla, Hayley and Faryl as far as I know this Hello! magazine was included free with one of the Sunday papers here in Ireland, I am beginning to suspect it is a different edition to the one that is on general release in the UK as none of you guys over there have mentioned it..

Here is a scan of the picture and text from Hello Magazine No 1124 Special Edition May 2010 Camilla, Hayley and Faryl..... I think we've found our next supergroup: The Three Classical Crossover Sopranos! Seriously, I think there's a golden opportunity here.

Hello Steve! If they tour together, the tickets should be £30. Three sopranos for three tenners! Richard

I think we've found our next supergroup: The Three Classical Crossover Sopranos! Seriously, I think there's a golden opportunity here. Just a small remark: Faryl is not properly a Soprano, but a Mezzosoprano... Although most Mezzosopranos can easily sing Soprano parts, they will usually sound different from a Soprano. This, is, by the way, one of the very things that make Faryl so unique: usually, the sound of a Mezzosooprano is developed when you are way older, while being so young,. grils usually are Soprano or Alto. I think we've found our next supergroup: The Three Classical Crossover Sopranos! Seriously, I think there's a golden opportunity here. I seriously hope not, and I seriously doubt it. I would rather Hayley had stayed with Celtic Woman than do that, but I didn't want her to stay with CW! Sure, it would be great for them to sing together sometime, but not form a new group and abandon their solo careers. Especially not Hayley. Hayley is too good to mix into a group. I like Camilla's voice, but Faryl's isn't my favorite. Talented, but sounds too similar to other singers like her. I like pretty soprano-type voices, but not necessarily all classical sopranos. If it weren't for Hayley, I probably still wouldn't really be into classical. I said that I doubt that it'll happen, because I think Hayley would prefer to be more independent as an artist, or as much as her record company allows, of course. At least for the time being (I hope).

The Classical Brits should serve not only as a prestigious awards ceremony but as a launch pad of ideas such as mine. The music industry needs creative pairings like the original Three Tenors to breathe new life into it. Even if Hayley sounds her best unaccompanied it would win her a wider audience if she participated in a stellar grouping like I proposed.

The music industry needs creative pairings like the original Three Tenors to breathe new life into it. Even if Hayley sounds her best unaccompanied it would win her a wider audience if she participated in a stellar grouping like I proposed. Libby, I am not that sure aboout the idea either, in my case, it's rather about Camilla than about Faryl: Although I am aware she has improved and I am saying this without having listened to her that much, I think Camilla's voice is still to thin and would be bown away by Faryl's mezzo voice and specially by Hayley's powerful and full voice. But, I thought I would explain that the Three Tenors idea was very different from Celtic Woman... Actually, calling that a group is rather missing the point of it. It wasn't a stable group, but rather three of the best opera singers from their generation who got to be very good friends and liked to make concerts together from time to time. But, they always were solo artists and followed independent careers. From that point of view, I wouldn't mind Hayley finding such kind of partners, based on a friendship made on.stage, and that regularily could bring them together for special events. Michal
