Thanks for the video and the screen captures, Dave! Hayley was fantastic. She could be a wonderful TV presenter, if the right opportunity comes along. Richard

I wonder why Hayley's "bling" has gone for the award presentation? She was wearing it at her table. Perhaps some contractual issue?

Martin Or perhaps something as simple as it probably wouldn't have gone as well with the neckline on the blue dress. But she had new bling in the way of her tiara and earings! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif By the way, what a nice, gracious speech by Vassily Petrenko.

Hi Dave Many thanks for the video of Hayley's presentation - delighted that, in true Hayley fashion, she made it her own. Thought Myleene's pronunciation of "Westenraaaar" was rather amusing though. Incidentally, the video plays perfectly with WMP on my system. Thanks also Dave and Jillian for the screen caps and additional photos Best wishes Grant P.S. Did I see Steve Abbott in the audience right at the end of Dame Wotsit's performance?

Hi Richard and everyone! Yes, Hayley made a great job fo presenting that, I wouldn't be surprised to see her doing that kind of thing again in the future! I agree with you Jillian about Vasily Petrenko, he made a very good speech and I bet his concert next week has had a nice boost from it, he must be doing a great job with the Liverpool Philharmonic. Nicola you mentioned the "dodgy" record sales figure for Pure (in the new album thread I think) and that kind of thing often happens, Myleene Klass said when introducing Hayley that Pure became the fastest selling International debut of all time, well yes - but only for the UK classical chart. But that's been beaten since, so I'd have used "best selling UK classical album of the 21st century so far", which still stands, and sounds more impressive. Cheers, Dave

Hmm... So great to see Hayley giving her light even when she is just presenting! Truly amazing video, Dave.
Hmm... And, who knows, maybe next year she'll be walking on the stage from the opposite side.

Thanks for the photos and video Dave. Absolutely wonderful.
And didn't Hayley look wonderful? I loved her "Ta-raaa". She even managed to inject her own personality into something as formal as that. Good on her!
And yes, I did get home in time to see her, fortunately she was near the end.

Amazingly enough, your video worked for me, Dave! I thought British people added R sounds when one word ends in a vowel, and the very next word begins with another vowel. Like when Hayley said "Lady Gaga..r and..."

Hello Libby! I've noticed most of the Classic FM presenters put a stress on the last syllable of 'Westenra'. The easiest way to pronounce it correctly is to remember that it scans with 'orchestra'. Richard
