Hi Thomas Glad you got home safely Enjoyed reading your review of the concert - got me thinking about it all over again. Teresa has not yet come down to earth and her daughter Helen has not stopped talking about the fact that Hayley used her pen to sign Teresa's book!! I think "Christmas Angel" is a loveley way to think of Hayley. God bless Grant

Hello Thomas! Thanks for your brilliant report from Sheffield. I'm glad you've arrived home safely, and I'm looking forward to reading your story about Hayley's concert in Cardiff, if possible. Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Grant
Just liked to say thanks for the Christmas Message you gave to Hayley on our behalf. Hayley is certainly a very special person and you could not have put it better.
Best Wishes
Gordon

Oh Thomas!! Those pictures from Sheffield are stunning!! and you beat me!! I don't think you realise just what you captured with the one of Hayley signing Teresa's book! Her daughter Helen sent the pen that you can clearly see Hayley using which she sent especially for Hayley to use Now we have the evidence that she did!! You will be her hero forever Thomas. Well done. Grant

HI
We set out at 7.30am for a taxi/catamaran/coach/taxi journey to St. Pancras. Only to find the station under major reconstruction and the entrance badly signposted. However we found our train and arrived at Sheffield at 2.30pm. After booking into the hotel we went to the City Hall to pick up our tickets, there was a sound check in progress!
I must say this is one of the best of Hayley's concerts I have been to, the fifth this year. The Hall is a magnificent setting and the sound system/acoustics perfect. The long wait for Hayley to make her appearnce was worth it. She sang 6? songs from "My gift to you" so was covering familiar ground. I wondered if there would be a duet of "Little drummer boy" but I was not familiar with the duet that they did sing. It was nice to hear so many songs I have not heard before. The orchestra/choir was very good. In particular the french carol was very rousing.
I had only recieved very vague sentiments/feedback about meeting up with other HWI members. I looked around in vain but could not see anybody. We had an early start in the morning and due to other reasons I was unable to wait around after the concert.
Tony

Hi Tony,
That was quite a journey for you and I'm so pleased you enjoyed the concert (not that I doubted you would!). Many of the "regulars" were not at this event so there were not so many familiar faces for you to find. At least that allowed to to keep your eyes of Hayley!
I look forward to seeing you somewhere next year.
Roger

Well done, Grant. Thank you for your report. Sounds like a fun evening out for you and your friends despite the traffic and skimpy meal!
How did the young girls respond to Hayley?
Empty seats! An almost unheard of Hayley event. May be down to lack of proper promotion. How aware were you of the event outside HWI?

Absolutely magnificent report, Thomas. it ws a delight to hear about your journey from home, not just the concert itself. It made a whole that was unique to you and your experience and added that little extra zest.
Thank you. Sorry i wasn't there to meet you again but glad you were able to meet with some of those with whom you had already made acquaintance.

We didn't actually take the girls this time but I don't think it will be long before we do. Helen especially. She is very proud to tell her school friends that her Uncle Grant "knows" Hayley Westenra!! Grant

Hi Tony
So sorry that we did not find you - we were looking but didn't know where you were sitting.
As you will no doubt have realised, we were very late arriving because of the traffic and Thomas didn't know what you looked like!
We'll do better next time.
Anyway - happy that you enjoyed the concert
Grant

Travelling around the UK is a nice little extra to a Hayley concert. Now that I know how the British Railway system works the rest of the island isn't safe from me anymore. :je It's great to see new places outside of London. Thomas
