We invite you to join us for Christmas Presence 2006, a magnificent celebration of the season with the very best selection of music capturing the spirit of Christmas.

We are delighted to have as our principal guest the acclaimed international singing sensation Hayley Westenra. Hayley has risen to the dizzy heights of fame with a crate full of platinum discs and a string of high profile performances with the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Jose Carreras and Bryn Terfel in some of the worlds finest concert halls. Her profile continues to grow with Il Divo on their world tour and we know you are going to be treated as she performs her selection of seasonal music as part of Christmas Presence 06.

Joining Hayley will be the Christmas Presence Orchestra and Sheffield’s very own Tapton School Choir, together with the emerging talent of singer Damian Wileman all coming together to make the event a very special occasion. With great seasonal music that includes Sleigh Ride, Troika, Joy to the World and favourites such as the Twelve days of Christmas and Hark the Herald we know that you will enjoy this magnificent evening, hosted by celebrity guests and in support of The Prince’s Trust.

Just noticed that this concert (and 3 others) are now listed on Hayley's official web site under events.

I tried to book on line for this concert, but it seemed to only want to offer either isle or best seats and these are both in the £25 ticket range.

I ended up ringing the box office this morning, first to get info and then to book. I got through easily both times and was told that "booking is quiet at the moment".

Anyone interested in booking for this concert should be aware that there is a 10% booking fee for 'phone bookings.

Also the £25 seats are not the closest but are said to be the best accoustically. Ther is a £19.50 block in front and I managed to get seats on row F (back row of this block) at 1015 this morning.

I'll put this on the correct thread so we all know where we stand.

Interesting to hear that you are hoping to "come up north" to see Hayley in Sheffield. It is an interesting city and one of the few in the UK with a tram system!.

I am taking a friend to this concert and she has never seen Hayley perform and thus has never met her, so I hope we will get the chance (I'm sure we will if Hayley has anything to do with it!!).

I had my tickets posted to my home address. Not sure whether they will post to Continent - they probably don't get many requests to do so!

Getting tight for time Thomas. I would suggest a collection. I don't think (a common standard) they mail out in the UK with less than 7 days to go. At least bring with you the ticket details from the transaction should they not arrive in time.

Well Grant, I know nothing of Sheffield's trams vis-a-vis Manchester's but Sheffield certainly is a lovely city. However, while I did consider just coming up for the weekend on the train, as it is only a week on to when i will see Hayley at Harrogate, for which i am travelling up by car to be able to go on to visit Grassington on the Saturday and perhaps do a little round trip back over the moors; and since Hayley will be performing almost an exact repeat, I shall not come to Sheffield this time. However, perhaps another time Hayley will be there when I shall drive up to enjoy both the city and its surrounds.
