Hello everybody! This is a bit late, but I've just found a short article at icWales. It makes particular mention of the girls from Howell's Junior School. Richard

Dave wrote Hi everyone I picked up Dave's comments from the Celtic Woman Christmas dvd thread and was pleased to hear Dave that they may make the Christmas Presence concert into a dvd in time for next Christmas. Some of you may remember that I was at that concert with my family and we were filmed more than once up close in the audience How thrilling that would be to be on a dvd with Hayley (well sort of) Best wishes Mark

Hi Mark, I actually put the 4 clips from that Concert onto a DVD, for my own use, last year & it has become a firm favourite for Marianne & myself. I regard that concert as a Hayley Landmark. Absolutely love it. She handles every song/hymn on it with that special touch that she has. Oh Holy Night stirs my soul (my highlight even with the bit of sound drowning). The childrens songs are utterly gorgeous to watch as she tends to their needs. Love it. I'd be a willing customer if it was made into a commercial DVD but can't understand it being left idle for so long. It certainly hasn't been idle at our place.!!! warmest regards...Graemek

Hello everyone Reading some comments in another thread about Hayley singing (or not!) You Raise Me Up took my mind back to a couple of other very popular songs that Hayley performs only rarely. These are "O Holy Night" and "The Prayer" and where can you find them? Try here!Sadly, there was no Christmas DVD (we would have known by now) but hey, we can re-live this excellent Hayley Christmas concert anyway - every year! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Dave

Hi Dave,
Thanks for pointing that out. It was fantastic.
'O'Holy Night' is one of my favourite Christmas songs and it was lovely to hear Hayley singing it.
'The Prayer' was also wonderful, as well as the other songs.

Hello everyone, the video is ready now - and Stuart, thanks for the great screen shots, you saved me a job! We would have loved to bring you the whole of the ITV Wales programme - TV highlights of the full concert - but we cannot. However, as a Christmas treat for loyal Hayley fans - and remembering that the TV show had coverage limited to Wales - we have put together some "highlights of the highlights" to give you a good flavour of this wonderfully Christmassy Hayley concert. It's guaranteed to whet your appetite for more so if (as we hope) you ever get the chance to see more, do whatever it takes to get hold of it! I've been watching this on and off for nearly three days now as I prepared it and the more times I see it, the more I want to see it again. Not for the first time, I have been well and truly Westenwowed! Broadbanders, you should be able to download this file in 20 minutes at most - although it should start to play within a minute. I have also added a much smaller "https://i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifial-up" version of the file below, which should take less than half an hour to download at 56K but of course, the quality is much lower. Christmas HayleyEdit: The much smaller dial-up version is now here! (9MB) Dave Are these all the Hayley songs that were aired?

Hello everyone, Well we now know that sadly, there is unlikely ever to be a DVD released of this wonderful concert. It is reasonable to assume that if it was ever going to happen, it would have been last year (which ties up with what we were told unofficially at the time of the concerts). So we have decided to treat it like any other TV broadcast of Hayley's and gradually, over the next few months, I will be adding to the main website some of the best songs that were broadcast. Starting with a song I particularly like, here is one of the best performances I have ever seen or heard of: The Prayer (HWI website, 3m 8s, widescreen, 484 kbps, Windows Media file). Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave,
In the case of this particular song, in my opinion, raw power counts....while there is little bad to say about Hayley's version, for this reason, as well as the fact that the arrangement allowed her to shy away from some high notes, I have to say I still prefer several other live versions of this song over this one.
I do agree with you in that it is one of my favorite songs as well....

Jon Hi Jon, well I certainly don't praise Hayley performances for the sake of it but I have to disagree with you there. I've heard plenty of "raw power" versions including the Celine/Josh and Celine/Andrea duets but I've preferred Hayley's more delicate version with the choir, ever since I first heard it. The emotion Hayley puts into this performance more than makes up for any "lack of power" for me, although I have some doubts about the sound mix for TV (also, the broadcast audio quality and camerawork were slightly amiss, in places). Anyway, vocal power is greatly overrated in my book, or perhaps it's just because I prefer the sound of Hayley's voice to Celine and the others. I do have one criticism though - it seemed to be a slightly abridged arrangement - or some of the other arrangements are extended, I wanted it to last longer. I'd love to hear a Hayley duet of it too. Cheers, Dave
