Hello Roger and everybody! I've just replied to a post by one of the choir on Hayley's official forum. If this is the choir from Howell's School in Llandaff, and I'm sure it is, there is a well-known former pupil with initials CC! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'll add this and the Sheffield concert to the master schedule, and mark them as unconfirmed. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi All
Just thought I would let you know that I have booked for this concert. I have some really good seats near the front and very central. This time we have booked into a hotel within walking distance of the venue - so no worrys about catching the last train home !! The program says Hayley will be joined by special guests, I thought that perhaps All Angels could be included, particularly as it is a Christmas concert ! Will any of you be joining me ?
Best regards
Mark

Hi Mark! At Cadogan Hall I saw a face that I've seen before somewhere but I couldn't recall where. I guess it was you. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Sorry that we haven't talked I haven't recognised you early enough and later I haven't met you again. I'm glad that you booked for this concert. Hayley cancelled her German tour and know I look for a concert to compensate the cancellation. Cardiff is on a Saturday, the only possibility for me to come to England ... oops Wales. Today I found out that trains are leaving Paddington every half an hour to arrive in Cardiff just two hours later ... sounds good! But before I book I have to check the best flight connections. I'll allow myself a week to think about it. It would be nice if anyone else thinks about going to Cardiff please post here! Thomas

Hi Thomas,
If you are serious about making the journey, it may help you to know that there is an airport at Cardiff. I don't know any flight details but it may be worth you enquiring.
Alternatively, there is an airport at Bristol which is only about 45 minutes from Cardiff by train.
Roger

Hello Thomas! Cardiff Bay is currently undergoing major redevelopment. It is the old docklands area known locally as Tiger Bay, and its most famous resident was Shirley Bassey who started out by singing in the working men's clubs there. I'm sure there is a regular bus service from the bus station adjacent to Cardiff Central railway station. Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Thomas
Its good to hear that I may have some company at Cardiff ! I too am sorry I missed you at Cadogan Hall, perhaps we will finally met on the 9th December. Thanks to Drew, the journey doesn't sound too long ! Obviously, if Richard isn't coming to this one, someone will have to be at the stage door mid afternoon to welcome Hayley !!
Hope to see you Thomas
Best wishes Mark.

Hi! It sounds quite easy to get to Cardiff. Thank you, Drew for the connections. Dortmund is the nearest airport from my home but only easyjet flies to London from there and you never know in advance if they really fly or prefer to cancel the flight. But I think about something different. If I can get the day off before (8th Dec.) then I can have even 2 concerts. 8th Dec. Sheffield (to meet Grant and hopefully Hayley) and 9th Dec. Cardiff (to meet Mark and hopefully Hayley again). i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif That would be the perfect end of the year. But before I may realize this I have to ask my boss first for the day off. And even more important to check my bank account. That could cause the biggest headaches So I will think about this for a week, maybe two before I decide to come over. Always think positive! Thomas

Hi Thomas
It would obviously be better for you if you could get the day off on Friday the 8th, it would make it more worth your while making the trip and give you the opportunity to meet Hayley twice in two days !!. When I booked our seats for Cardiff a week or so ago, there was still plenty of room, we did get seats quite near to the front - D28,29 & 30.
Hope you can make it
Best regards Mark.

Hi Thomas If you are thinking of going to the Sheffield and Cardiff concerts you can get cheap rail fares from www.virgintrains.co.uk but you have to book early otherwise the fares are expensive. Currently on 8th December you can get a single rail fare from St Pancras (London) rail station at 12.25pm to Sheffield for £6! On 9th December the 11.27am train from Sheffield to London(arrives 1.45pm) is also £6. The 2.45 pm train from London (Paddington) to Cardiff(arrives 4.45pm) is £11 single fare. You will have to wait a few days for the cheap return fare back to London on the 9th to be available. You can collect the tickets from a "Fast Track" machine at the stations once you have ordered and paid for them. I hope to see you at Sheffield on 8th? Regards Tony B

Best Wishes from London, Richard And the film Tiger Bay was the first appearance of Hayley Mills with har father John Mills. Now called Cardiff Bay by the sniffy lot but those who know thearea as it was and would wish to keep it, it remains Tiger Bay! Peter S.

I wish you well. You sound to be on a mini-Postscript tour. That's how I chased her around during the fall of 2005! But that was only across (or up and down) the UK, not axross the North Sea! Thanks for the information, Tony! Thomas, I think you should ignore my PM and book your train travel via Tony's link to Virgin Trains. I did say the fare structure is very complicated here in the UK! Best Wishes, Richard
