It looks as though there was a spot of bother at Petworth last night, judging by this paragraph from Il Divo's forum (which mentions Hayley). Jeanette wrote:- Then Camy wrote:- On a happier note, Sandra wrote:- Richard

Hi everyone I was at the Petworth concert too and was really happy to see Hayley again! OMG ....I thought I knew what to expect after seeing her in Brussels...but oh boy...what a surprise! Her performance was even better than the one I saw a few months ago. She was really lovely, as always, and I was glad to see that many people appreciated her and that she got a big applause after every song. She sang the following songs: * Ave Maria * Pokarekare Ana * May It Be * The Water Is Wide * Scarborough Fair * Hine e Hine * Bridal Ballad I think she sang In Trutina too...but I'm not sure...the whole evening is a bit of a blur to me at the moment. At the end of her performance she thanked us and wished us a pleasant evening. She said "I'm sure you're anxious to see them" (meaning Il Divo) and then something about the guys being quite gorgeous. This got a huge reaction from the audience of course! LOL i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif She said she felt really lucky to be on tour with them and kind of apologized for being able to spend so much time with them and being so close to them all the time. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif That was really sweet, but kind of funny too. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifOf course I took pictures. Do you think just over 50 pics will do?! I don't know when I will be able to post them though as I'm going on holiday next week and there's still a lot that I have to take care of before I go. But I'll do my best to post them a.s.a.p.

Hi Lindsay,
Sorry that I did not meet you in Brussels with a follow up in Petworth.
I think that Hayley received very good support from the fans in Brussels, "Amazing Grace" certainly received rapturous applause. I believe that the Belgians (and other visitors to Brussels) seemed to have better manners than those seen at most Il Divo concerts in UK and I do not recall any shuffling about whilst she was performing.
I agree that she has matured and gained confidence since then. Petworth was the first time (on the Il Divo tour) that she seemed to have an exchange with the audience. Even 48 hours after Warwick she was a new person. I suspect that the afternoon at Toast in London's Regent's Park amongst 8000 fellow Kiwis gave her confidence. (I wonder if she had that same confidence in Cardiff?)
After Hayley's performance (at Petworth) I went from the front fence back up the hill to view Il Divo from a distance, thus avoiding the scrum and scuffles.
I hope that I can reach the front row again at Blickling this Saturday before the heavies arrive, I shall have three with me.
I look forward to meeting you when Hayley returns to Benelux (the Channel Tunnel means that Brussels is closer than Edinburgh).
Drew (Husband to a devoted Il Divo fan)

Thank you Lindsay and Drew for your comments from Petworth - and welcome to the forum Drew!
Thinking about it, I believe Hayley did show more confidence during her performance in Cardiff than she had done previously. But so she did at Newmarket last Thursday during her own concert (as opposed to supporting Il Divo). Maybe she is gaining confidence generally.

Hello Lindsay, and welcome to our forum, Drew! Many thanks for your interesting comments about Hayley's performance at Petworth House. I've seen Hayley three times so far this year, including one of the shows with Il Divo at Wembley Arena. I've also noticed and been impressed by her increased confidence when chatting to the audience, and I think it's simply down to her rapidly growing experience and the warm response she always gets from the crowd. The more concerts she does, the more Hayley seems to enjoy performing, and her youthfulness gives her a big advantage too! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI look forward to reading all your future posts. Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hi everyone Sorry it took so long before I came back to this forum to post the pics I took at the concert in Petworth. If you click on this picture, it'll take you to my Petworth Photo Album. Scroll down to the bottom of the page (as first there are a lot of Il Divo pictures), there you will find 53 pics of Hayley. Enjoy!

Hi Lindsay,
These are wonderful photographs; thank you for sharing them with us. It hasnt been easy to get photos during the Il Divo tourdue to security measures so you have done very well. There's a job waiting for you at MI6 in undercover surveilance!!
Thanks again.
