Such kind words from a "fellow videographer" are greatly appreciated! I tried to keep a very low profile whilst I was filming which was tricky since I was sitting right next to an aisle! I think I was fortunate to be sitting half way up the stand. If I had been closer to the front, I would have been a target "within the sights" of a member of security staff!

Many thanks for your endeavours to capture yet another superb performance for HWI. I had been wondering how you escaped detection by the security guards. Dave had enough trouble just taking a few shots in Cardiff. I never expected to see video footage from any concert of that tour.

Thanks very much for your encouragement!

I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed the Edinburgh Castle Concert videos! It's wonderful to think that some of the highlights of the evening have been preserved! The quality of the video is actually a lot better on my original DVD recording (the video camera recorded straight onto minidisc) but we had to reduce the sizes of the files considerably in order to convert them to "wmv files" for more practical use on the 'HWI' Website.

Dave knew exactly how to go about producing the highest quality wmv files possible, which could also be viewed in the widescreen format of the original recording.

I'm very pleased with the results!

Indeed 'HWI' demonstrates some fine team work in action. Perhaps we could promote this element even further by organising a ‘HWI’ day out with team building activities such as white water rafting or sky diving? There again, perhaps orienteering would be more appropriate, since this thread is quickly going off topic and is now heading in the wrong direction!



Back on topic... with or without rafting, 'The Water Is Wide'... I hope you all continue to enjoy viewing the Edinburgh Castle videos!

Nah! My cameras are not as good as the Hayter Bros' cameras... They're definitely in a league of their own there! Besides if I was instated as an official 'HWI' cameraman, Steve and Stuart might try to change my name to "Hayter"...
