Hello Graeme and Peter! I recognised three of those quotes straight away, so look closely at pages 2 and 3 of this thread! I will admit, I did miss the first quote in Graeme's post, and the second quote is probably Kay trying to quote Fi! Richard I'm lost completely But then, I was never very good at puzzles Peter

Thanks Dave for that information on sales monitoring and the probability of being able to relate sales to concert appearances, although if CDs aren't available in the supermarkets, how many might use Amazon--or would use Amazon anyway? At least there will be some sort of statistical information which will help to assess audience pull in different areas for a new CD launch.
Thank you.
Peter

Peter Yes indeed, but I will defer to Andrew regarding nearest locations to Edinburgh Castle of HMV, Virgin Megastores etc., where Odyssey can I am sure be bought. I think there are big towns near all Hayley's "Il Divo" concerts, except perhaps... Petworth? How big is Horsham, Roger? Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave!
i don't think Horsham is as big as Berkhamsted, something of a backwater when I was last acquainted with it BUT there are probably many Rolls-Royces there so there could be a clutch of supermarkets--no, they'd order from Harrods wouldn't they?

Cheers, Dave Hi Dave, The population of Horsham and it's outlying villages (which includes Petworth) is about 125,000. But there's a bloke up the road who's on holiday so don't count him! Roger

I hope he's gone to Edinburgh, if only to bring this thread back on topic! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifActually it's no problem because there's a wonderful little exchange on Il Divo's forum this morning. Olga (SCUD Lover) wrote:- Lizzy P replied:- Richard

Richard, that's a really wonderful little story to quote. Let's hope Hayley catches it, I'm sure she would be moved too.

Cheers, Dave Hi All, Re: Dave's enquiry, there are 2 branches of HMV on Princes Street (the main shopping street below the Castle). One of the HMV branches is located towards the west end of Princes Street (with a Virgin Megastore right next door!) and the other one is at the east end of Princes Street, at the front of the St. James Centre Shopping Mall. 'Odyssey' is available in all of these stores (before the Concert I bought 3 copies of the re-released edition for Hayley to sign from the HMV west end branch). I also believe that copies of 'Odyssey' were being marketed on the Castle grounds along with some 'Il Divo' merchandise on the night of the Concert. Regards, Andrew

Hi Richard, Many thanks for sharing the links to these photos of Hayley from the 'Il Divo' Forum... Just as a point of information, the following details may be of interest to anybody planning to order concert tickets through the following vendor (an organisation based in Hungary): thelondonticketshop.co.uk On learning that the Edinburgh concert had been "sold out" back on June 13th, I carried out an online search in order to ascertain whether any tickets were available from online ticket vendors. It appeared that there were tickets available only through the above vendor. I booked a ticket online on June 13th and encouraged a friend of mine (who bought 2 - including one for his girlfriend) to do the same. We each received an Email confirming the order details. We were advised that the concert tickets would arrive via postal delivery 3-5 working days before the event and my bank account was debited the following day. 3 days before the concert our tickets still hadn't arrived, so I Emailed the vendor to establish whether the tickets had been posted out. I was advised that we would definitely receive them at least 1 working day before the concert. The tickets had still not arrived by the day before the event, so I Emailed the vendor again, only to discover that the Email was being "bounced back" and couldn't be delivered! To my surprise I received a telephone call 2 minutes later on my mobile phone- it was 'The London Ticket Shop' advising me that I was to call a guy named "John" on arrival at the venue to collect our concert tickets. I decided to make further enquiries as to the availability of tickets at a local outlet that day. Just by chance 10 minutes before my arrival a ticket had been made available for the concert so I bought it, since I wanted to be sure that I would in fact be able to attend the concert! On the night of the concert we were queued up outside the venue an hour before the doors were due to open still without our tickets from 'The London Ticket Shop'. I telephoned "John" on the number I was provided with and I explained who I was. He said he would phone me back since he was currently trying to source our tickets from 'Ticketmaster'. At 7.15pm (Hayley was due to be on stage at 7.30pm - 7.45pm) I received a phonecall from "John" advising me that he had managed to "source some tickets". That was a VERY close call indeed! I am however very glad that I had bought my extra ticket from the local outlet, since those provided by 'The London Ticket Shop' were for seats in the east stand much further away from the stage. My other seat in the south stand was however much closer to the stage. The chances are that the photographs and video footage which I managed to film, would not have been possible at all had I been seated in the east stand! Regards, A very relieved Andrew

Andrew, WOW! Wonderful videos from Edinburgh. You did a great job keeping the camera still and avoiding the camera police!!!! A fantastic momento from what must have been a great evening! Stuart
