Nice to see a picture of you Andrew, just to remind me. .It is a long time since we met at The Lowry and a lot has happened--you too have done much on the Hayley front too!
Glad to have your report from Edinburgh. Sorry about the grief. you experienced with security. I have always feared that sort of thing hence my permanent timidity, if only to save that sort of hassle--but I think its the Il Divo faction that is the cause of the grief--when Hayley is in charge its almost a "welcome to my home" kind of performance. The whole aspect of Hayley, from herself through her management, general life style etc is just down-to-earth decent and friendly. You feel so great attending one of her shows even if you didn't have the chance to say "hi!" afterwards.

Hi Andrew, Kool Photo, your tie goes very well with Hayleys dress, Belinda NZ Hi Andrew/Belinda, the point I made at the outset when Andrew first displayed his tartan was that the colours really suit Hayley herself. Perhaps we could consider making such items available to HWI, or perhaps we really want them wider-sold if a. Andrew should get a royalty for the idea and concept b.some profit goes to Hayley's present or any future charity initiative. c. I can't wear jumpers--its a claustrophobic thing for me. But then, having said that I'm a bow tie man not a kipper man. However, just thoughts aloud. Great potential here to help promote Hayley, give us a more outward sense of community and aid Hayley's charitable interests? Peter

Hi George, Hi Andrew I love your photo with Hayley. I think you look a perfect couple! What does everybody else think? Regards, George Well, I guess you're half right! Roger Steady George and Roger, Andrew's young enough to be seriously eligible if her style is for the older man, which I guess might be the case. How could a young man her age have the wit, the style, the straight forward down-to-earth practical maturity and lack of self-concsciousness, as well as having the nerve to cope with the public gaze? But, other than to 'josh' the pair of them in light-hearted humour, to go further would be to intrude--on Hayley! Peter

Dear All, Here's the floral arrangement which Hayley received last night. I was with Erin (the sales assistant) in the flower shop when she put this floral arrangement together for me. I told her all about Hayley and requested that she should include these particular colours. I just think of these colours whenever I hear Hayley sing! You will probably notice the thistles and sweetpeas in the arrangement. You will also see some photographs below of the gift card which was attached to the floral arrangement for Hayley. One of the more helpful members of security staff allowed me into the grounds (with camera bag and all!) during the soundcheck in order that I could be directed to the appropriate member of staff to deliver the flowers to Hayley's dressing room. A member of management who was sitting in the stalls during the soundcheck directed me to a female member of staff called "Angela", who was sitting in a portocabin/ annexe at the back of the auditorium beneath the east stand. I noticed that there was a floral bouquet on the shelf there. After I handed the arrangement over to Angela explaining that this one was for Hayley (and pointing to the card with her name written on it!!! ) I asked her if the bouquet on the shelf was also for Hayley. She said "No, that's for 'Il Divo..." I asked Angela to confirm that Hayley would receive her floral arrangement. She reassured me with a beaming smile and remarked, "I'd be delighted to present this to Hayley!"... I know for a fact that Hayley did receive the flowers, because it was one of the first things she said to me after the show! I asked her if she had received flowers from anybody else or from the concert organisers. She said "No... I don't receive flowers, so I really appreciate these- When I saw them I thought they were SO beautiful. Please pass my appreciation on to the rest of 'HWI' ." I couldn't believe that Hayley would have otherwise have left the venue empty handed... how thoughtless of the concert organisers and venue staff huh? Regards, Andrew

Hi Andrew.
1. Absolutely wonderful bouquet and thank you for including HWI as a whole in your personal gift.
2. 'Thoughtlessness' would appear to be the hallmark of Il Divo. Whether thoughtlessness derives from self-centred narcissism or simple ill-manners perhaps is best left as an unanswered question.
I leave the question unanswered for two reasons. 1. Several, perhaps now many Il Divo supporters, bearing in mind those that trouble to post are the tip of the ice-berg, have taken the trouble to praise Hayley fulsomely and so i refrain from harder critcism of Il Divo out of courtesy for their open expression of appreciation of Hayley.
My second reason is Hayley herself. She has generously spoken warmly of them, treating her as a 'little sister' having the courtesy of watching their language in her presence and generally 'being fun'. Perhaps the reported discourtesies to their fans are simply that they lack the 'Hayley cool' in a crisis and are just 'normal' guys, losing their rag as many people do who simply work in an office.
Were I to meet Il Divo perhaps I would simply shrug my shoulders and say, 'oh yeah, as in the world like everyone else'. But that's not Hayley. She isn't 'just a performer' she's Hayley, just a very wonderful person to meet, to know and to share her company. Her 'just being there' lifts the world around one.
Perhaps we are too casuially aware that with Hayley we walk with someone truly exceptional. We know it but accept it as the standard, which she isn't, she's way above 'standard', so we feel disappointment elsewhere and let down by contrast.
Peter

Hayley's thanks are entirely yours, Andrew and it was most generous of you to present them on behalf of HWI. The floral arrangement is beautiful. Yes, I see the thistle and sweet peas and, I believe a delphimium and white roses.
Best wishes, Roger

Dear All, Here are the first few photos I have of Hayley at Edinburgh Castle. No doubt some of the keen photographers out there will understand the problem of taking sharp pictures without the use of flash! The quality of the pictures in the video are much superior, as my Sony HandyCam has an excellent 800x digital zoom Carl Zeiss lens! Dave has very kindly agreed to assist me in posting up my video footage. We will have to compress the files quite a bit since they're rather huge at present! Let's hope we don't compromise the quality, because the sound is great and the picture quality is better that my stills! Watch this space... Andrew

Hi Andrew, Roger and Dave,
I wonder if we could get some ties made in the Hayley tartan, with 'HWI' printed on them for the staff to use at the 'posher' concerts like Cadogan Hall?, I am sure I could get my company to sponsor the manufacture it you think its a good idea?
Its nice to be back!

Well Andrew, Many thanks from me too re all your thoughtful & meticulous preparation for Hayley's Edinburgh visit.
Thanks too for all your pictures I've seen thus far.
Slight blurring doesn't automatically scrap a photo by the way!!
It always amazes me to observe the different attentions Hayley receives in different venues: From absolutely flat nothing coupled with rudeness to heartfelt appreciation for the performer & person that she is. Edinburgh must surely be a highlight for her. Graemek PS. am eagerly anticipating the video clips of her Edinburgh performance. My wife & I watched the Cadogen Hall ones last night for the umpteenth time with undiminished fascination.

Perverse though this may sound in view of my delay in going digital with still but the video camera you have is one I had looked at and that carl zeiss lens is incredible. A shop assistant was demonstrating it and turned the lens straight into the arc lamp above the store (it was one of those hanger-lioke stores in the States) and showed the details of the filament, then he turned it into a dark area. The response, lack of flare etc was incredible. Looking forward very much to seeing your efforts Andrew. Peter
