Hi All,
This is how the stage looked yesterday afternoon... It's nearly ready for showtime!
There's plenty of "see factor" now...
and lots of "hear factor" too!

Hi All, I've just returned back after having had a wonderful evening! One of the female security members of staff let me in for the soundcheck at 5:30pm momentarily (doors were due to open at 7:00pm) when she saw that I had appeared with a floral arrangement which I explained was for Hayley and that I wished an appropriate member of staff to pass it on to her on behalf of 'HWI' - one of her main supporters' websites. I managed to capture some quite impressive video footage from Hayley's performance at Edinburgh Castle on my Sony HandyCam, in addition to a few stills with my Canon EOS 350D with a Tamron Tele-Macro (1:2) lens. One particular very "hot and bothered" member of security staff gave me a lot of grief when he saw my camera bag (even although I had hidden the 'Canon' name on the bag) and asked me if I had a press photographer license, to which I replied "no". EEK I should have known better and brought the willow picnic basket and greaseproof paper instead! I tried my best to explain about 'HWI' and Bedlam Management's approval for multimedia intended for shared "free use" via the 'HWI' website, but this guy was having none of it. Instead of antagonising him further, I decided I would have to sprint all the way back to my car located in a distant hotel car park where I would discard my camera bag and return to the Castle with my camera and the lenses disguised in polyethene bags! Please don't expect my still pics to be up to "Hayter Bros. standards" but they are OK considering the fact that I didn't use flash and the tele macro lens isn't a top of the range model! I'm really quite chuffed with some of the video I managed to capture on my Sony HandyCam! though I will share this in due course- along with my Concert Review. In the meantime, here's a picture of Hayley and I to keep you going... Lots more later... Andrew

Hello Andrew... I trust that you're still in "Hayley Heaven" as I write this. You've really "set the stage" for all of us with your wonderful photos of that large set being constructed.. I really love the photos of the castle as well. I've learned that Edinburgh Castle is the second most-visited ancient monument in the UK (The Tower of London being first). I can't wait to hear about the concert. It shall be a nice thing to look foward to on my Friday! Best regards, your good friend from America, Joe

Hi Andrew. One word... PRICELESS ! Oh, what a truly wonderful picture of you and Hayley...your best pic yet! I was worried about another row over cameras and photo-taking. But this time it seemed they were more concered about the camera bag. I wonder how the regular public were treated. Glad that the lady security guard treated you better. Plus I look forward to seeing what you've recorded on your HandyCam! Great job! Joe

Hi Andrew,
It matters little what I say because, if you are feeling the way I feel when I have just seen Hayley, you really won't care! LOL
Glad you had a good time and I am very impressed to see the Westenra tartan tie! I look forward to your review, photos and video footage.
Well done for holding the HWI flag up high north of the border.
Your friend from the deep south! Roger

Hi Roger, Great to hear from you my friend from the "deep South"... It may be encouraging news for you to hear that Fiona Pears has been visiting the 'HWI' Forum too... She said - "I couldn't believe how quickly the photographs appeared on the website from the previous evening's performance..." So 'HWI' seems to be making quite an impression- it's the cutting edge Regards, Andrew

Hi Walter, Great to hear from you too! Thanks for the '007' analogy... I wish!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI was more than dischuffed when several people walked in late during Hayley's set- some of the songs of the video were ruined by passing green cardigans etc. so I'll probably post at least 2 of the songs as either sections of video files or complete song sound files...Does that make sense? I'm not sure anything does anymore after my discussion with the "hot and bothered" security guard!!! Heh-heh! Andrew

Hello Andrew! I love the photograph of you and Hayley, and the tie! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm glad you had a great time, and I'm really looking forward to reading your review of Hayley's performance and seeing your photographs and videos, but don't rush. This afternoon will do! I'm particularly pleased to hear that Fiona Pears has been visiting HWI. I suggested that she might like to have a look at our forum when I met her in Battersea last Sunday! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard
