Let's leave Gerrit in suspense for a while!   PS Gerrit, I hope you will be recording the Last Night of the Proms, both halves (I'd be shocked if you didn't, lol). She said O Mio Babbino caro is from Carmina Burana when it's from Gianni Schicci. Sacrilege. In Trutina is from Carmina Burana.

Not just because of Hayley in Manchester, but also because of Katherine in Swansea. By the way, I only get the main feed from London, so I hope they feed me the right stuff, otherwise I'll feel very fed up  . Currently I am in the proces of uploading 350 MB worth of video featuring Janine Jansen, including one video lasting an hour and a quarter. But I'll be advising more about it on the Janine Jansen message board when it is done. By request, I will also upload your nwt video to HWI.net, a convenient place for a lot of Hayley videos! I didn't see her  but I had to keep nipping upstairs to control other TVs/VCrs so could have missed her. No need to ask about uploading stuff i've done to your sites (like HWI.net) - if you want it there, just do it (any of it) I've recorded about 9 hours of Proms stuff this evening, it's all over the place so it may take hours to sort it all out But... I have Hayley in the rain in Manchester singing: May It Be, Ave Maria (Caccini) O Mio Babbino Caro, Pokarekare Ana, Hine e Hine!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI also have Keith, Roger and the HWI guys recrded in the audience!!!! Here are four screenshots from tonight's concert, all taken within a few seconds of each other. The first two are of Hayley just after singing Pokarekare Ana, the next is a cut to some of our own, our very own HWI fans  (Lothar, Keith, Roger are up against the barrier... who else?) as Hayley says "Wow, look at the flags!"... then straight back to a beaming Hayley for the fourth still, just before she sings Hine e Hine. I am so jealous of those guys who were at the concert (even though it poured with rain at times!) but hey, later tonight I hope to post some video clips of it  and I couldn't have done that if I'd been 240 miles away up in Manchester, could I? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDave     |

Thanks for the screen shots Dave. The only other forum member that can be seen in the crowd is Holger (to Lothar's left as we see it). Emmett was there somewhere but must have been slightly further over at the time. It was an amazing evening and I'm sure I don't need to say that Hayley was wonderful. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet her this time because she had to travel back to London straight away and so they set off as soon as she left the stage. That was about 40 minutes before the end of the concert. More details will follow. Roger |

Thanks for the photos Lothar! Now, for another surprise for you... you appear with Emmett in the final shot of the first clip I've managed to produce. I did O Mio Babbino Caro first as most people will not have seen or heard Hayley performing this one yet. Sorry about the delay folks, I've had a nightmare 24 hours on my PC thanks to broken audio codecs, a corrupted Windows configuration file and much, much more. Aaaaaarrrrghhhhhhh!!!!!! I think I burned it out with all that video capturing yesterday Thank goodness I had a recent Windows System Restore point to fall back on! All is not yet completely back to normal so the other clips will be slow in coming... but I'll get there in the end. In the meantime, here is Hayley in Manchester singing "O Mio" as you've never heard it before - it's now available from here - Gerrit's HWI.net index page. |
