he was barely back in his studio this morning and he played River of Dreams by Hayley Westenra.

I have no idea who decides to arrange a Hayley Westenra concert in the National Concert Hall in Dublin.
I am not the only one wishing on a star for that to happen this year, still plenty of spaces in the NCH calendar.

The last concert was organised by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. The orchestra is probably based in the National Concert Hall.  Richard |

Well, she was sort of just there, so it would be nice for her other fans to have a concert. It would be nice for her UK fans to have some once in a while. Of course, the rest of us in the US have been sorely lacking for years, while the UK used to get all kinds of concerts. But, her UK crowd deserves more, too. But, as has been discussed before, she really needs a new album before she can actually tour. Hopefully that will be soon. From the sound of it, Dublin will likely be on the list. |

Well, I'm very happy that the station plays her songs, but my point was, being able to find listen to it being played on his playlist isn't necessary for me. It's just hard to get excited about her being played in Ireland, when she needs to be played elsewhere too, but she isn't really, and might never be. Sorry, just cynical about most anything related to Hayley these days.

Niall Carroll just played Pokare kare Ana sung by the one and only Hayley Westenra at about 11:55 today on RTE Lyric FM Radio on his radio show Niall Carroll's Classical Daytime.Niall plays Hayley quite regularly, he also plays works by The New Zealand National Symphony Orchestra (I think that is the proper title for the Orchestra, I may check and correct later)
