Oh no! I'm so sad to hear this... thanks for the heads-up Belinda. Hayley must be so disappointed, as are the All Blacks, I'm sure. But with her singing from the sidelines, I bet they'll win just the same! It's unfortunate because this would have been such a big occasion for her, and such a special moment for all Kiwis. But as you can see from the interview, she's taking it all with her usual grace and poise! Oksy

I've been following this story closely and see a way around the problem: Boycott the match!
No Hayley, no game. Simple as that. The nerve of those French!

Hi Steve, I appreciate your sentiments but that would be easier said than done. An event such as this there is far too much at stake,I go along in part with your sentiments. It's a lousy trick for the French to do to all Rugby Nations. cheers, Rodders

Sad for Hayley that she can't sing [at the game]... Just shows how scared of Hayley the French are Even though Hayley must be disappointed I love how she makes the best of it and plays off the conspiracy theory thing and has fun with it all... I'm starting to think she is self entertaining too. She's already pretty funny, but whats funny about her is that she already knows the joke is on the way before it has emerged and is well on the way to laughing at it before we do Just watching those videos though - Hayley has really amazing parents. The family resemblance to her mom is just really striking. All in all very cool that she supports her favourite team like this... What is going to happen though when the All Blacks lose their first game in which Hayley has sung the anthem though? Maybe I shouldn't be asking that question on a board such as this! Almost like All Blacks/Hayley blasphemy of sorts!

Hi Graeme,
I really think Hayley would explode if she didn't laugh as much as she does... I think what gets her going though is that she knows the contrast between what she is really feeling about those French folks... and the incredibly diplomatic way of expressing what she's feeling/thinking without directly saying it (while still getting the undercurrent across - haha) - all the while doing it in the most perfectly acceptable and likeable way. Do you think its a challenge for her to get right up to that line? Its almost like she's optimized it to an art form. That takes skilz folks! Pretty funny though and she is still genuine in what she is saying!

Hello Peter! It's the subtle art of diplomacy. Hayley is being her usual polite and charming self, but we all know what she's thinking, and so do the French! Richard

What is going to happen though when the All Blacks lose their first game in which Hayley has sung the anthem though? Speaking on behalf of Hayley: "Noooooooooooo, don't even go there!" Roger

I think we need to vote a few more times before it changes. It is still at 33%, let's try again tomorrow.
