Aled Jones has released a new album "One Voice" where he duets with his younger self. They've been promoting the album on Classic FM, but I suspect they don't pay him enough as a presenter. The one saving grace is that the orchestra is conducted by Ian Tilley. You can purchase the album and listen to samples here: www.amazon.co.uk/One-Voice-Aled-Jones/dp/B01CKS7TFS/Officially the album was released yesterday, 1 April 2016, but I reckon it escaped! He's now 45, so he really ought to know better! Richard

The good news is, the album will almost certainly be No.1 in the classical charts next week. The bad news is, the album will almost certainly be No.1 in the classical charts next week! Richard

Now there's an idea! Hayley could do some duets with her younger self too!

'One Voice' is John Suchet's Album of the Week on Classic FM, so he'll be playing a track at about 10:15 each morning from Monday to Friday. There are also two videos: Click on the link in the quote to see the story behind the album. Richard

Yesterday John Suchet played Aled's recording of 'Danny Boy'. He gave it a big build-up, saying the album is wonderful and is getting a great reception, but afterwards he couldn't quite control himself and giggled. Now he realises what it actually sounds like! Richard

Something tells me you're not an Aled Jones fan, Richard ?! Clearly there is profit in puberty ! I hope Hayley's team don't get any ideas and have her duetting with her younger self ! That said, the guy who devised "Hushabye" is probably working on it as we speak !

That said, the guy who devised "Hushabye" is probably working on it as we speak ! Hayley would probably put her foot down on that one. I think Hayley has had enough of them exploiting her talents with some novel idea, only to be a huge flop in the end. I'm constantly reminded of this photo she posted quite some time ago: http://www.instagram.com/p/rhZmcML2li They need to let her blossom. Maybe that's what's going on, she's taking her time to blossom.

Something tells me you're not an Aled Jones fan, Richard ?! Hello Jeff! To be fair, I quite like Aled Jones's adult voice, so I think 'One Voice' would have been a much better album if he hadn't recorded it with his younger self. The songs are wonderful, but... Richard

The Christchurch Press had a big article about the Aled Jones One Voice album. I don't know if you knew that Ian Tilley was the producer for this album and he and Fiona Pears also did the music. They worked on most of it in Lyttleton. There is another album coming called One Voice at Christmas they are producing as well.

Oh, the moneymakers are a bit strange sometimes.
